  Gumby needs our prayers

  about 5 months ago gumby had a knee operation, it never healed and the doctors here suck in a big way.

  so yesterday he and his wife went south to get a second opinion and maybe get this knee surgery healed up.

  so if you got it in you please pray for his speedy recovery and healing.

  yes i did it, i finally took my two kids out on halloween for their first time!!!

  i will remember this i think for the rest of my life!

  my two boys, the oldest 9, dressed as a pirate and the youngest 5 as spiderman.

  i keep reading posts from members that make referrence to going to a meeting or going out in service..... holy crap?!?!?

  what percentage of the people here still actually consider themselves as witnesses?????

  In the United States the freedom of religion laws are written to protect the business of religion to do business. The laws do not protect the victims of religion itself. If the laws protected the victims of religion, that would amount to the government interfering with the business of the religion because a religion like Jehovah's Witnesses can not function without the victims.
  
  There is no personal freedom and no justice for a victim of a religion. The only freedom is to quit the religion, but then the religion is free under United States law to impose sanctions, such as shunning, defamation of character, loss of housing, loss of employment, and loss of family, on the victims who leave.
  
  The laws are written to protect the religion business, not the religion's customer.

  i recently posted on a thread and couldn`t believe the amount of intellectual bullies on there.

  i was a jw for 25 years, left school 35 years ago and they expected me to know all the info on evolution, and because i didn`t i`m `stupid`.

  i prefer to believe in creation, but it is obviously too simple an explanation for them.

  I have seen it here plenty, I just don't care if people don't agree with me.

  Everyone has their own opinion and I respect that and I expect the same from others. If I don't get it..o well..carry on.
