have some jw's who you were close to,try to get you back to the meetings?what did they do?.
one woman i knew..tried to make me feel guilty with letters...saying it was like i stabbed her in the gut.she also gave me, my pictures back,of myself and my daughter.yeh thats a winner.just last year she gave someone i know..pictures i drew back to me, as well ,other pics of my daughter that were hanging around her house.. yeh sure,thats gonna win me over.

I love dogs,but just don't have the time for one and space.
Some people just get em and forget about em.Or they can't train them right and they misbehave,so they throw them outdoors.

Witnesses playing stupid mind games
by kenpodragon inmy wife recently had her baby shower for the up coming birth.
now that we have not been witnesses for over six years, many of our relatives thought that we would not have much of a turn out.
the reason they would think this, is for the most part we do not do much with them any more and thus they have no clue of what kind of social life we have beyond the days they knew us in the religion.

Babies are wonderful.my youngest is 20 months old.Shes a sweetie.
I find,the Jw's think people who leave,their lives will be worse and seems to me, they hope it will be worse.I think its a disapoinment that we are doing ok.

were you scared to become an apostate?

when i fisrt left the organization,i was always full of duobt that it was the truth.i can remember ,becoming an apostate,was the unforgivable sin.for about 10 years i wouldnot "say"the "religion"was untrue and full of lies.even tho i was never going to go back.ater i have heard a lot of the "b.s" about this so called religion,was i peaceful saying this was lies.. i am now a proud apostate.

A tale of three JW sisters
by TD inone morning three jw "sisters" went out in "mid-week field service" together.
the oldest of the three sisters was a spinster in here late 60s who bore a remarkable resemblance both in her dress and attitude to comedian dana carveys "church lady" impersonation.
as a "pioneer" who was already in the "truth" at a time when most of todays elders were either not yet born, or still in diapers, she was respected in her congregation in a grudging sort of way.

I remember this woman I used to study with.We heard on the news about gay bashing.This man was beat with a board with nails sticking out of it.
I said,He didnot deserve that,nobody has the right to hurt another person like that.
She gave me this look,and said he did deserve it because he's Gay and discusting.
Some of these people think they are so righteous and have the right to judge others.

What Era Would You Like To Have Lived In?
by DakotaRed inbesides the one we are currently in, i mean.. for me, i feel a strong draw back to the late 1930s and early 1940s.
as i get older, i find myself enjoying the big band sound even more than i ever did, as well as the movies and radio programs of the era.
for some reason, the appeal to that era stops about mid ww2.

Sometimes I don't think I payed much attetion during the meetings...too bad.
JESUS SAID YOU WILL BE WITNESSES OF ME
That is so true!That was something that always stood out in my mind.The teach ,they will be hated because of Jehovah and they are Jehovah's "witnesses".Jesus said they will be hated because of him(Jesus) and be his witnesses. -

Goodbye Everyone.
by Englishman inhl and i are for a week, we're going to madeira again and this time we are walkin' the levada's!.
here's where were going, its a portuguese territory a few hundred miles off the coast of west africa:.
tomorrow morning we head for cardiff airport, it's a slight worry as the severn bridge is closed today because of high winds, if it stays closed we have an extra 100 miles to drive around via the m50.. see ya in about a week!.
