couple of weeks back, i was busy winding up my evening at a gay nightclub near my home in johannesburg, when across the room i notice this drop-dead-gorgeous woman sitting there with her obviously gay friend.
so i stare at her a bit, get some eye-contact going, and i reckoned i was making some decent progress!

forgive me if this topic has been covered before.. serpents.. satan used one in eden.. in first prophecy serpent is spoken of as being cursed, and ultimately has head crushed (before heel wound???)..
moses has a staff that turns into a serpent that eats up the egyptian priests serpent staffs.. god uses serpents in the wilderness, to harm israelites, before having moses create a copper serpent idol that the israelites must look to for life.. jesus likens pharisee's to offspring of vipers.. christ is later likened to this serpent, that we are to look to.. we are cautioned to be cautious as serpents, yet innocent as doves.. serpent / dragon is cast into gehenna.. shelby recently commented on seraphs being fiery serpents.. at the risk of doing "an alward" - anyone done any research on any of this?

If Satan were so powerful, why does he hang around on Earth when he knows God wants to nail him?
Now, if I were Satan (AWESOME), I would just piss off to a neighbouring solar system or something and play Star Trek! Seriously now. This is another flaw in Dub doctrine, as well as their not mentioning in any significant way what happens to the astronauts on the ISS or on the Moon (if it happens in the distant future) when (H)Armageddon arrives.

tonight i was leaving my flat with my brother, when a drunk guy from across the road came over shouting that his freinds apartment was on fire.. my brother and my kicked in the door, and went in to the flaming building three times.
we eventually found him slumped over in a sofa.. i thought we were goners because we got lost on the way out, the smoke had by this time filled the room.. my brother and me dragged him out the door when his collection of half finished whisky bottles and gas lighterc refills exploded.. the only casualty was us with smoke inhalation, and my brothers car keys which fell out of his pocket in the rush.. look in the lisburn star on fridays for my smokey face.

i'm curious: what rules have you dealt with that were just "too much" -- whether they were "official" (i.e.
in print) or not?.
i think a good, general one is r-rated movies.
There were so many stupid little rules that I couldn't even be arsed to remember half of them anymore! Some of the worse ones were:
* Not being able to ask questions during meetings. I mean, FFS! Talk about one-way traffic, from FDS to your mind! ARGH!
* No sports in school, which allowed me to be a slightly less than graceful social misfit until my second last year of high school, when I rebelled! (Although I never did participate in school sports anyway)
Farkel: All the poeple who banned it are now dead! EHEH! Good point! Half the laws etc were coined by Rutherford and his minions anyway...we were are following the laws (set in stone) of people who are now pushing up daisies. Great!
