Giordano - I seriously wish I could but he's my ex and we have a kid together. I managed to turn the conversation around to question his loyalty with one of his comments he made and it shut him up thankfully. Think I Need to stay off scriptural conversations with him in future or I'm gonna completely drop myself in it coz i can't defend a lie

please could someone explain to me what the generation thing i keep seeing in people's threads was that had lots of people leave the wts coz it was way before i became a witness.

I hate the way there have misled people, controlled, lied to them and robbed them. The way there charge people for funerals and weddings, list is endless. That is why even though the witnesses have made mistakes there are far superior to the churches
That's what he's just said to me 😲 he's never even been to a church In his life. He was saying the society says they behave a certain way and the society says they believe certain things(some which aren't even true but he believes it coz the society says so). I was starting to defend the churches against the wrong things the society has taught about them and have had to stop myself before i completely stick my foot In it. How have people coped when they're fading?

He said a few times lately he's questioned my loyalty to the truth coz of how i feel about the child abuse and 607bce. I'm having to keep covering my tracks (twist my words) to throw him off
I'm beginning to wonder if I'll make it to becoming inactive or if I'll put my foot in it and be df'd before that time for the ability to think and reason.

I'm still deciding and have a lot of years of research ahead of me. Right now I'm just focusing on fading and taking a break from religion and hopefully any mind conditioning will fade with time so I can see what's true and what's not... or what I believe to be so anyway.

so as i'm still pimo and living under my parent's roof, how can i get out of service?

cause i really don't want to go and i feel dirty just knowing i could be influencing someone into this garbage..

Thanks four the idea cha ching I might get my own territory and they wouldn't know if I was out, but then someone might ask to come work it with me one day or I might be asked how I'm getting on with it so I'll have to try to think of a response

I'm in the same boat. Me and my daughter came up with the idea of working together and if someone answers the door to not use any literature or mention the organisation and just read a positive scripture without referring to the society. That's our backup plan if we can't get out of going out while fading and just not reporting the time since we weren't talking about Jehovah or the society or promoting it.

i was talking to a jdub yesterday about child abuse in the organisation and this was his response:.

"it has been known for kids to make stuff up.

we have to trust the society on these things, also the legal process is there.

GB have brainwashing down to an art if they can have people still trusting them over something as serious as condoning child abuse. I'd say keeping it within the organisation to protect Jehovah's name and the GB not giving the court the records of 23000 known paedophiles within the organisation is condoning it.
