LOLOLOLOL ... teabags, what next ... toilet paper????
RR,
"toilet paper"?
Yes!
I've sold Watchtower and AWAKE! magazines on eBay also.
Some of the older, pulpier issues could rate as "double-ply".
heeeeeeeeee
no, this ain't no advertisement, since the auction is long over.... * http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/ebayisapi.dll?viewitem&item=1129186088.
just wanted to illustrate the value some collectors put on the old watchtower stuff, and that it is wise to hang onto it and if someone wants to 'pay through the teeth' to acquire it, well and good, because that way it is preserved, and not gone and forgotten, but rather the watchtower's rich heritage lives on and the litter-chewer & sundry memorabilia is on someone's shelf or in their display cabinet for anyone to see in case there's a future challenge that such never existed.. who in their right mind would pay over $13 bucks for a little worm-eaten tea bag??
a krazy kult kollector, that's who!.

yerusalyim.
there is more of heaven and earth than is dreamt of in your philosphy, horatio.. dickens: a tale of two cities.
"there are more things in heaven and earth, horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy" are the words of hamlet from hamlet, act ii, scene v, by william shakespeare - a tale of two cities does not come into it, though i can imagine sidney carton uttering them in some parallel universe.. hope this helps.. --.
Focus,
I forgot. What time do our Anger Management classes start this week?

Have heard SO MANY stories over the years of the mounds and heaps of Watchtower-related books, magazines, ephemera, misc, etc., that have been taken to the landfill, torn-up, burned..., it just makes me sick.
Many of these incidents were inspired by the Watchtower Leadership in a not-so-veiled effort to erase their history, (Book-Burning Nazis!) or to keep the congregation clean of all the Old Light which casts a Not-So-Complimentary Pall on the Contemporary New World Society.
So, Hell, don't throw the schtuff away! Sell it on eBay!
Not that we don't really understand the therapeutic Ripping & Tearing & Primal Screaming Sessions that LovesDubs described a week ago... we do..., but try to use the newer, more plentiful WT publications if you need to exorcise the Watchtowerdemons in a more, uhh, 'material' way.
Save the Old stuff. It matters not whether it gets into the hands of jWs or X-jWs. As long as it is preserved. It will eventually find its way into The Light of Day.

for those asking for a (current?
) scan of the cover.
of the watchtower elders manual.... alanf just sent me a .jpg attachment of the 1991 version:.
Logik,
am I detecting a wee bit of sarkasm ... ? huhmmmm?
We'll have you know that a Whole Team in the WatchtowerArt Department
got together and designed that cover!
I think you need a Noogie, except that it might screw up your antennae. ( " S P R O I N G ! " )
How about a Wedgie, instead?
since i posted in another thread mentioning that i have m.s.
and it came as a surprise.
to some, i just thought i'd clarify a bit.... this is why i am so lousy at answering e mail, guys!
Wendy, thanks for the thoughts you proffered in the other thread

Ez,
MS is one of the (few!) medical acronyms I've managed to dodge,
so far.
I've read your webpage about health struggles and will say that I think I can "pull rank" and that "I've got you beat"... maybe even you and MommyDark put together. I've been living with with this DD and its constellation of symptoms & manifestations for almost 25 years.
Here's a short list of diagnoses I've gotten by medical doctors in the last quarter century:
Sjogren's Syndrome
Epstein Barre virus
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome
Fibromyalgia
Hypothyroidism
Leaky Gut Syndrome
Candidiasis
Stomatitis
Multiple Chemical Sensitivities
Chronic Insomnia
Pernicious Anemia
Low Red Blood Cell Count
Abnormally Large and Irregularly shaped Red Blood Cells
TMJ
Acid Reflux
Gastrointestinal problems
(am I a Schick Pup, or what?!)
I'm having a flare-up, BigTime, for the last 4 weeks.
Seems to happen every Spring, but also is triggered by stress,
which I've had plenty of, of late.
Here's a link to Ken Raines website, in which I exchanged mails replying to a husband of a jW in England whose wife has ME(CFIDS).
He said that in parts of Scotland it is called "The jWs Disease".
I've wondered about that for some time, since I came down with this life-changing malady during my last year at Watchtower Farms and still feel that those who fall ill to this DD are 'pre-disposed' to getting it, (my hunch is due to a weak constitution formed during an unlucky toss of the dice during that genetic crapshoot called 'Conception'... but that's just a wild, intuitive guess) after it is triggered by the ungodly, unnatural stresses the Watchtowerkult puts on a body.
I agree with the theory of stress being the trigger that the English letterwriter points to, but I take great exception (thru hard experience) that the cause is 'psychological'.
THAT'S the standard Cop-Out most doctors give in to when they try to treat you. They don't like to say: "I don't know", because they can't find the exact physiological cause. (must be the 'god-complex') Rather, they slough you off with: "Yes, I do know. Your problem is psychological. I'll refer you to a Shrink."

Anywho, hope you do better, and if you ever find a Magic Pill for all this, please let me know.

T
just had to make another webpage to preserve focus' brief synthesis .
of the kult's all-encompassing, all-inclusive language.... .
* http://www.intrex.net/tallyman/outdoubt.html.
AG,
long as Focus keeps kranking that schtuff out,
we'll keep making webpages... and giving them all new wallpaper!
B-Man,
almost seems rather "clintonesque".
Hee.
Bubba Klinton & Theokratic Warfare Strategy... whadda match!
I think the WTKultleaders could take Bubba in a Parsing Match, tho.
Riz-ola,
You and Focus would make great superheros.
Dang!
Does this mean that there's some kinda Kult Kryptonite out there waiting for us?!?
Lois? ...Lois!

this is a question for the legal eagles on here.
i've heard lately of court cases where a party was ordered to supply the other party with paperwork, information etc.
i was wondering, if someone took the wt to court over dfing, could they have the wt ordered to supply them with a copy of the elders manual?.
AK,
Here's an image of the cover you seek:

"it is not to be presumed that the prince of darkness will suffer the binding influences of the new prince, which are now at work to fetter his power without a struggle.
his rage will spend its force in distressing mankind in various ways, for he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
" 1884wtwr 03 01 07. well, that is as it may be, but we can now say without a doubt that this "short time" which the watchtower taught back in 1884 was nearly over is still 117 years later - taught by the watchtower to be in progress... "all know something of the failure of brother miller's expectations.
Fokus,
Can I turn that into a new (mini) List?
We'll spiff it up and everything.
Keep On Kompiling!
