True God would not seek praise nor worship from us
by elbib inwhen asked: “why there is so much of suffering here if god exists?” buddha responded with silence because he knew the following:.
1) even though living in heaven, anyone can live as though he lives in hell and vice versa which means how a person thinks is the key.
experience show that whatever a person does with 100% involvement (totality = beauty), it is like he lives in heaven.

Whatever ideas we have about God is all imagination of people like us. God seems to want us to enjoy surprises--to come to our own conclusion.

When asked: “Why there is so much of suffering here if God exists?” Buddha responded with silence because he knew the following:
1) Even though living in heaven, anyone can live as though he lives in hell and vice versa which means how a person thinks is the key. Experience show that whatever a person does with 100% involvement (totality = beauty), it is like he lives in heaven. It means God is not a factor in one’s life nor in his enjoyment.
2) God is not interested in our praise or worship. It is the limitedness of one’s mind that looks for gratitude or praise from others. Fruit-bearing trees that live for others shows their designer (God) is agape (unconditional love—1 John 4:8). No Agape is possible without recipient. That means it is God who feels grateful—not the other way around. Hence True God would not seek praise nor worship from others (just like no liar is possible without a listener who consistently refuses to listen to untruth). If He is not interested in praise, He will not respond to attempts to discredit Him either. Loving fellow humans amounts to loving God (1 John 4:20) which means God is not a factor in true worship also.

According to the Bible, GB is committing an unforgivable sin
by elbib in“the soul that does something deliberately [footnote says “with uplifted hand”] whether he is native or an alien resident, he speaking abusively of jehovah’s word, in that case that soul should be cut off from among his people.” (numbers 15:30).
according to this verse, acting with “high-handedness” and “speaking abusively of jehovah’s word” constitute disfellowshipping offence.
1) “high-handedness” is something that jws themselves silently experience from jb, hence require no witness or proof.

Ucantnome,
Good point---They cannot be true even to their own name: Witness. they don't even know what they are saying. They just put Satan above God (impossible) who wants to come out of the imaginary Issue of Sovereignty, and still cannot even after Satan was proved a liar millennia ago (again something impossible)

1) “High-handedness” is something that JWs themselves silently experience from JB, hence require no witness or proof.
2) Projecting Jehovah as a beggar by profusely applying Proverb 27:11 to Him, and presenting Jehovah as trying to please Satan endlessly to win the (imaginary) Issue of Universal Sovereignty, GB is also “speaking abusively of Jehovah’s word.” Interestingly, Issue of Universal Sovereignty never figured in Jesus’ teachings. If such an issue really did exist, Jesus would have used all his superhuman skills to present that teaching to the world with paramount importance!!!
3) By teaching that God Almighty felt ‘challenged and taunted’ by one of His own creatures is “sinning against holy spirit” which according to Jesus is an unforgivable sin in this system of things and in that to come. (Mathew 12:32)

Science vs Religion - All in the brain? New study...

faithnomore,
Life cannot be known by analysis. Scientific knowledge is achieved through analysis. Religion is quite the opposite; it believes not in division and analysis, but in synthesis. Religion goes on adding, totalling. When everything is totalled -nothing remains outside; and this whole, taken as a whole, is looked at - the divine appears. That's why science can not say there is a God because the very process of scientific analysis can't lead to the total but leads to the part, the minutest part -never to the whole -because it depends on division.
Science can not come to any divineness in the universe, in existence, because divineness is like a perfume that comes out of the whole. It is not mathematical; it is organic. It is not mechanical; it is alive. You can divide me into parts; then put back all those parts, but I will not be found there. You have put everything again in its place; but I am not a mechanical device, I am not just parts accumulated and arranged.
Something more is there, more than all the parts - that something is lost. Logic is analysis, love is synthesis. Analysis can know the material, never the spiritual. That's why religion has always been illogical, and science sees only the trees (not the forest).
Hence neither science nor religion can be a help in the case of God.

It’s all has to do with each one’s thinking. Among scientists, there are those who believe in God; and among religionists there are some whose actions show that they do not believe in the existence of a God, but use the religions as a means to their greedy ends.
“My experiences with science led me to God. They challenge science to prove the existence of God. But must we really light a candle to see the sun? … Science does not have a moral dimension. It is like a knife. If you give it to a surgeon or a murderer, each will use it differently. “

After death
by Willie647 ini'm not a born in but my parents became jws when i was about 3 years old.
i left at 18 after i was accused of having sex with my future wife.

Willie647,
"Be glad you were falsely accused" which gave you freedom from fanaticism.
Regarding your question: What happens after death?
It's a surprise--I would keep it as surprise to be experienced in its own time.

organization obsesion
by Richard C B inwhy are you guys so obsessed with organizations?
there has to be order in the world and organised people!
-
elbib
Within JW Org can anyone remain without being punished if he finds it difficult to subscribe to one of their belief. When I said: "i dont' think 144000 is literal number" I had to face the iron-bar beating.
They are "organized" for what? To distort the truth

FREE AGENTS without responsibility
by Terry ini was 11 years old and i was sitting at my desk in homeroom class when the student on my left, gregory, tapped me on my shoulder.. he held a folded note in his hand and was gesturing for me to take it.
he leaned toward my desk and whispered barely loud enough for me to hear,“pass this note to robbie.” robbie was the girl sitting on my right.. i took the note, unfolded it and read it just as gregory punched my arm.
a shout-whisper came along with the fist, “don’t read it, you moron!”i picked up my pencil and scribbled one word of my own and passed the note to robbie.. i had a crush on robbie and so did gregory bunn.

Terry,
You made the point. It is true even in its opposite sense. A comparison of the "faithful and discreet slave" in Mathew 24 and Luke 12 would show that it is the same "faithful and discreet slave" that later becomes "wicked" or abusers or exploiters. Yet they have not conveyed it, but conveyed exactly the opposite--just as happened in your school experience.

How much do you think GB enjoy their lives?

Many who have watched the GB know that they seem to be desperate to be admired, to be looked up to……. Now the question arises—do they really enjoy their lives? Does their superiority complex make them feel good?
A recent study published in the Journal of Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience tries to find an answer to this perplexing question by looking at two brain regions: medial prefrontal cortex and ventral striatum. While the medial prefrontal cortex is associated with self-referential thinking, the ventral striatum region is associated with feeling good. It was found that people who are in love with themselves have poor connectivity between both regions which means that although they are obsessed with themselves, internally they don't feel good and that is why they seek external admiration. That means they are actually experiencing “weeping and gnashing” deep within themselves.
