  from facebook:just saw my jw mother after not seeing her for more than 2 years.

  when i do see her, it is brief, she never asks about my life, doesn't ask about my 4 children her grandchildren, doesn't ask about my grandchildren...her great grandchildren, she doesn't ask about my other 2 brothers that she is also alienated from, she doesn't ask about my brothers family.

  she doesn't talk about the jw/org either.

  Getting back to topic ,this is just some isolated case of fear mongering in a few congregations isn`t it ? certainly not something that has come from the GB.?

  Good for you Joe, we live in the world, so why not have a voice in how we should be governed .

  J.C. has supposed to be be ruling as King and he`s done sweet fuck all these past 103 years and the gullible still put faith in him.

  I like to point out that Rom.13:1-7 identifies that the superior authorities that govern us is an arrangement set up by Jehovah God ,so it is logical we should have a say in who should govern us .

  Thanks for this post and this video guys.And thank you Monica for sharing your experience.

  While the video shows Monica`s realization of the "truth" regarding some of C.T.Russel`ls teachings, sadly I think she falls into the same trap of many Religious people of relying on emotional feelings rather than logic or intellect.

  And this is demonstrated with her experience of calling on the name Jesus and her feelings connected with that as opposed to calling on the name Jehovah.

  Remember, neither the name Jehovah or Jesus are the true pronunciations of whom they are supposed to represent so why would either of them respond to it .

  I too would welcome Monica on this board

  Jehovah uses the government to discipline his people

  i had a conversation with my dad concerning the legal cases the jws are loosing and how their policies are still lacking.

  he answered that he has confidence that jehovah will give his people the wisdom and discernment necessary to make the changes.

  i then explained that most of the improvements were made as a result of various court cases, including the australian commission.. my dad: well, than, jehovah uses the governments to discipline his people just like he did with the jews.

  Aren't the governments under Satan's control ( according to the WTBTS)?

  Not according to the Bible where it says that the Superior Authorities are the arrangement of God Rom.13:1-7

  Or is this just another contradiction in the word of God to other scriptures of the word of God that suggest/state otherwise .

  Casting Out DEMONS

  if someone believes they're being plagued with demons or they have problems with hauntings, things moving by themselves or hearing voices or footsteps, who they gonna call?

  i know they take demons very seriously, so who in the congregation do they go to when they need to bring out the big guns?

  do they try to handle it themselves or is this a job for the elders?

  During the 70`s and 80`s the congregations I was in their were a number of cases where supposed demon action affected some members of the congregation and the Elders were involved in counselling and advising the members how to be free of it.

  Often times it was suggested they get rid of something that was purchased through garage sales or anything that had to do with eastern culture .Other times it had to do with "suspect" music, the word going around then was backward masking, playing records in reverse had demonic sayings on them . Another time trying to burn records that could not be consumed by fire . .One bro,was into books on Egyptology and he was experiencing demon attacks,so he got rid of his books on advisement.

  We had the smurf story doing the rounds as well as an Elder relating an experience of a brother who tried to get rid of an object by throwing it out of his house only to have it rebound back inside.

  A sister also complained to the elders she was being sexually abused by the demons ,I dont know the outcome of that one.

  Their was one Elder who was quite adept at applying scriptures but was a bit obsessed with anything demonic.

  I was with him in FS one day when we called on a Pastor of a church and he tore ribbons off of him with his use of the Bible .He could debate the bible with the best of them.

  However I kid you not he seriously thought "Skippy The bush Kangaroo" had to be demon possessed to do what he did. (An Australian kids TV show)

  here is a fascinating subject.

  according to the bible , one of adam's first assignments was to name all the animals including the sea creatures and dinosaurs of course.

  we don't know how long this took but, as all witnesses know, the time period is crucial in working out the timing of armageddon).

  Was It Really Mental Illness or Was It The Demons?

  we supposedly had more than a few “demonized” people in our congregation.

  they would hear voices or feel internal punishment within their souls.

  the answer was always—-these people were affected by the demons and they needed counseling!.

  So in reality then the bible accounts of demon possession are not demon possession at all but are in fact a case of mental illness experienced by the individual in question.

  That makes a lot more sense to me than Demon possession .

  Their were a couple of "sisters" in my congregation`s ( x2 ) who swore they were being raped by the demons and went to the Elders about it.

  I have no knowledge of the outcome of such investigations by the JC committee.

  Maybe they were just overjoyed with with Holy Spirit or failing that with some Alcoholic Spirits.

  My experience tells me that Alcoholic Spirits work far better than Holy Spirit does.

  Is All The Bad Publicity About The Watchtower Pedophile Lawsuits Causing Contributions To Nose Dive Worldwide?

  i think with all the child molestation lawsuits the watchtower corporation is and has been hit with is the main reason for all the prime property sell off recently.

  the silent lambs protest back in 2001, and the dateline prime time expose probably was the death knell for the watchtower's hey day in brooklyn.. their membership is drying up, young people are leaving in droves, the situation is no doubt far worse than the annually published yearbook figures show and so they ceased it's publication permanently.

  and those left remaining are experiencing a huge grab of money from their congregations accounts and now are required to make pledges about how much they can contribute which i think is a last ditch effort by the governing body to squeeze more money out of the rank and file watchtower indoctrinated drones.. i think all this is happening because even those still loyally attending are hearing reports of these tremendous pay out that the watchtower is making to the victims of their self serving policies that put young ones at great risks so that even the rank and file don't want to contribute to pay court costs and so are withholding giving contributions to a very great extent.

  I think this may be true with the younger generation 30-40 years old or younger, who have access to the internet on a daily basis and are more tech. savvy.

  And not so much with the older generation 50-60 year olds and above ,who are not likely to use the WWW so much and are indoctrinated to believe the GB as Gods spokesperson on the earth.

  Typical of many older gen of JW`s is the attitude of the Elder at the ARC when asked if he had been keeping up with what was going on at the ARC said words to the effect he doesn`t watch the news and no he didn`t know anything about what had already transpired during the commissions proceedings.

  Justice McClellan`s look of disbelief was classic.
