Excellent news ,good for you ,it sounds like a very interesting field to study.
Best wishes / take care.

i am also a ex-jwer and left the ´truth´ on jan. 2018. i live and work in midt jylland in denmark.
Welcome IamWhatIam glad to have you on board ,this is a great site to say whats on your mind freely without repurcussions and been taken in the back room for the third degree.
We dont always agree with each other but we are free to voice our opinions which we could never do in the "troof"
Look forward to your story as we all have one .
Take care my friend.
P.S. be carefull about how much you divulge about yourself if you don`t want to be identified and outed .
since i have been out for seventeen years what is the currant society policy concerning beards and mustaches.. in the sixties and seventies facial hair was forbidden at bethel if you white.
if you were black you could have mustache but no beards.
so obviously you could not be elder or pioneer if you had a beard.. any updates?
Charles Taze Russell had a beard ,takeover man Joseph F.Rutherford wanted to distance himself from him its founder so he had to get rid of the physical thing that Russells followers identified him with and that was his beard.
So Joseph F.Rutherford banned beards
That`s it in a nutshell
That is also why he changed the name /heading of the Watchtower magazine from " Zions Watchtower and Herald of Christs Presence"
to
the un-scriptual heading "The Watchtower Announcing Jehovahs Kingdom"
under the heading last days, the introduction promises this:.
"the present wicked system of things, which extends worldwide, entered its last days in 1914, and some of the generation alive then will also be on hand to witness its complete end in the “great tribulation.”.
will the "slave" explain to their followers that such an invaluable "witnessing tool" is no longer to be used, or will they just revise it electronically to reflect "current truth?
If Jehovah`s Witnesses really did reason from the Scriptures they would realize That:
1.That the name Jehovah does not appear in the Christian Greek Scriptures at all. "The kingdom Interlinear Of The Christian Greek Scriptures" published by WTB&TS.
2.Nowhere in the New Testament / Christian Greek Scriptures are Christians instructed to be witnesses of Jehovah whereas they are continually being told to bear witness about Jesus Christ.
3.Phil.2:10 Clearly states that Jesus and his Kingdom is the one to be acknowledged and witnessed to throughout the earth by Christians.
4.Charles Taze Russell / I.B.S.A. recognized this that is why his signature publication was titled " Zions WatchTower and Herald Of Christs Presence"...in contrast to the latter day Jehovah`s Witnesses / Joseph F Rutherford "The WatchTower Announcing Jehovah`s Kingdom"
5.Nowhere in the New Testament /Christian Greek Scriptures are Christians instructed to witness about "Jehovah`s Kingdom" ,in fact the term/phrase does not appear in the Christian Greek Scriptures / N.T. at all.
6.Not only do the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses re-write and change / falsify their own early history they apparently have no qualms about re-writing and change / falsify the Bible to fit their own agenda / doctrines.
take a wild guess who dreamt up the idea about no blood transfusions for jehovah’s witnesses in the first place?
charles russell, the founder of the church?
judge rushford, the alcoholic and second president?
King David and his men violated the diet restriction on eating blood when they were in danger of starvation and they never were condemned for it by Jehovah.
Jesus had no problem in violating the sabbath commandment when a life was involved. And Jehovah never chastised him for it.
The law in the "Old Testament" was about not eating blood {,diet}.
And that same principle in the "New Testament" was about not eating blood carrying on from the "Old Testament" with its diet restriction.
Think about this : If a person is starving to death and the only thing he is given is a blood transfusion he would still die of starvation, simply because blood is not a food.
Jehovah`s Witnesses refuse blood transfusions and even reject donating their own blood for their own personal use for later emergency`s.
Yet hypocritically J.W.`s will accept blood fractions in medical procedures that are produced by blood that is donated by "worldly" people that is then processed in a laboratory into its various fractions .?
They should be called out on this hypocrisy once and for all.
for family worship last night, our family watched remember the wife of lot movie since it will be discussed in the meeting this week.
there’s a few things i noticed that i didn’t think about last time i watched it.. first, the dad is very of course against his daughters going to college or even trying to find a good job.
yet he does accounting, which is a very good job that almost always requires a college education.
Welcome to this site S.M. its a bonus when you have success in getting your family out ,i`m sorry about your breakdown in marriage though ,but as they say that`s life.
Excellent news that your daughter is attending university now and studying Bio-Chem.I can imagine how proud you must feel for her .
This is a great success story for you and your daughter.
Take care.
one of the recent threads on the talk about the hailstone message got me to thinking.
the problem with putting out a message like that is what to do when nothing happens.
i have to think that somebody will be asking that question.
Beth Sarim
That`s because the G.B. of J.W.`s like to re-write their own history and delete and destroy their older publications because they can be an embarrassment to them .
In other words expose them as false prophets .
So many of their books tracts that were once considered "Truth" when published are no longer considered as "True" necessitating their re-writing of their own early history .
What " Truthfull" organization is ashamed /embarrassed by their own early history ? that they see the need to alter it.?
reading about migrants using flamethrowers, acid, unspeakable, -- to storm the fences of european grounds, trying to reach their perceived "paradise", -- the eu", it occurred to me that .
wt has marketed it's efforts as a grand aid to to reach "the kingdom"[paradise] too.. the difference is of course, --while germany, other states, really afford newcomers an almost effortless existence for life, - wt makes such promises, offers a pie in the sky, or lower, but can of itself never fulfill them, has proven that by it's past s failures.
so: does wt guarantee safe passage into paradise?
I would just like to add my 2 cents worth on what you said.
1.does wt guarantee safe passage into paradise? NO.
2.does it enslave it's clients in transit as recruiters, workers? ? YES
3. Does it market itself as the only safe conduit into paradise?, YES
4. does it demand obedience, even contrary to common sense, during the voyage? YES
5.Have there been fatalities of it's clients on the way to the promised land? YES most definetly
I think you have summed it up pretty well
wt has marketed it's efforts as a grand aid to to reach "the kingdom"[paradise] too.
And I couldn`t agree with you more ,well said
this post is necessarily lengthy, but my hope is that these 14 examples of wtbts dogma will be examined closely by those who either have something to gain by doing so, or those who can provide "new light" for any of the topics.. "however, you may say in your heart: “how will we know that jehovah has not spoken the word?” when the prophet speaks in the name of jehovah and the word is not....true, then jehovah did not speak that word.
you should not fear him.
" [the prophet] (deuteronomy 18:21-22) .
Bookmarked for future reference
1488 in attendance ....7 baptized.
at least 3 were under teenage years...children of those in already.
R.C. happens once a year right ? 1488 in attendance , suppose for arguments sake only 1000 were baptized J.W`s who put in 10 hours a month for twelve months =120,000 hours ,7 baptized minus the 3 children of witness parents ,that leaves 4 potential converts for the year.
Not very productive witnessing in my book.
The C.E.O. needs to be sacked .
just my 2 cents worth.
