For those who are athest, or non-christian, how did you come to this decision?

i'm not asking this question to cause an argument or accuse, but i am honestly just wondering?

for those of you who are now atheist or non-christian, how did you come to this decision?

i hadn't given this much thought until about a year ago.

I was brought up to believe the Bible was the word of God and was sent to Sunday school ( my parents weren`t religious) when I rebelled and said I wasn`t going anymore about 12 yrs of age ,I still had the though the Bible was God`s word ,Fast forward to when I`m 20 years old I was converted to JWism .

33 years later after seeing the hypocricy`s , flip flops ,and manipulation of the members by both the G.B. and Elders in Congregations I attended (admittedly some Elders were genuine people but not many) in my experience.

I was disillusioned and left.Which then led me to investigate the the Bible more and what critics had to say about it and my eyes were opened ,the rose coloured glasses and the blinkers were off an I then saw what religion in general and all religious books were inventions of humans and nothing more.

Pure Worship restored only for English-speaking?

gb recent presents new book "based ezekiel" - pure worship restored.this book also provide into jw-borg site and jw-lib too, but only english.as examle, spanish - it`s second largest language into us and america continents, but has no translated into it.do you have any idea why this could happen?

they hide something, or just did not have time to translate (but previously published in all major languages at the same time).

Maybe its simply just a matter of them running out of cash or maybe even translators are leaving in droves .?

One can only hope .

Thanks Blondie for another well thought out criticism of a W.T. study article "Displaying Love" ? Intended of course for JW`s rank and file members.

However I can`t help thinking why the G.B. don`t take any note of the counsel themselves that they dish out to the the flock in their care.

.All of these sexual abuse cases around the entire world against children in their care ,failing to report these crimes to the appropriate authorities and even punishing the victims ? How are they displaying love to the most vulnerable in their midst ?

And how often did Jehovah "Display Love" in the Old Testament ? First he condemns all of humanity to undignified painful suffering and lingering deaths with multitudes of ailments and terrible diseases for Centuries simply because his first two perfect humans turned out to be not so perfect and disobeyed him..

Then think about all of the people Jehovah has caused to be killed in those first 4,000 years of Bible history.?

Using Angels ,pestilences ,the Flood ,condoning wars agains`t other Nations ,where Israelite died in battle as well .Not bothering to cure a Leper Colony among his chosen people ?

Maybe that explains why Man`s history is filled with violence and bloodshed ,because man was made in GOD`s IMAGE

So all in all I don`t think their God Jehovah "Displayed Love" either .

Dreading the new system of things

was i the only one who secretly dreaded the new system of things a little bit when i was a believing witness?

of course i felt very guilty, because of all the sick and heartbroken people who needed a perfect world to live in.

but there are a lot of nice parts of life i was going to secretly miss.

According to the Bible Jehovah wasn`t such a nice guy in the O.T. killing so many people either by himself or just using Angels to do his work ,so that`s a bit of a worry .

Also what`s all this slaughtering of animals,he was so obsessed with, his creations that throughout the O.T. he was responsible for Thousands at a time in some cases all to be offered as sacrifices ?

And how many lives of humans does Jehovah require then as he apparently does now with the sacrificial death of both youths and adults on the Alter of Jehovah with the NO BLOOD ban .

Yet hypocritically J.W.`s will accept with no problems fractions of blood that has been donated by those they despise ,members of Christendom and even Atheists and apostates who donate their blood so others can benefit from the fractions of blood they receive.

Remember also there was a Leper Colony in Israel when the Jews were enjoying Theocratic Rule by Jehovah in the Old Testament. ?

So is the "New System Of Things" really going to be something to look forward to ?

Firstly , I`m glad to hear that NZ is conducting such an inquiry by a Royal Commission into Child Abuse Sexual and Otherwise.

Secondly i find it hard to comprehend how JW`s fail to believe ,accept that Jehovah`s Witnesses Organization went through the same process as other religious organizations in the C.A.R.C

It`s on Government video of G.Jackson . Vincent Toole , various Elders giving testimony . ? And overall not doing a very good job of it either.

What`s that statement ? "Their are none so blind as those who refuse to see".

What Do You Think Will Be The Next Big Change In The Watchtower?

i think there will be a change in the 144000 belief.

too many witnesses think they have a heavenly hope.

maybe 1914 will be discarded too.. what is your watchtower prediction?

Pillows and cushions will no longer be issued in male dormitories at Bethel .

Males will have to wash their hands 10 times ( heavenly Perfection) before having breakfast at Bethel

Females will be just unclean until the male gives morning prayer at Bethel
