my wife and i were discussing a sure sign of a cult:.

when one knows more about the society / organization after leaving!.

lets face it, most of us here on this forum, and ex-witnesses in general know more facts about the history, background, practices, current procedures, scandals, etc than the average "still-in witness"!

Never was a truer word said Stuck ,because we have taken the rose colored glasses off,removed the scales from our eyes ,and actually started to use our brain to question things.
I was going to say without fear of retribution but that is not quite true .
Many of us are/were fearful to take that first step of questioning the organization/religion ,but gradually over time it became much easier until we finally reached the stage of knowing TTATT.
And it`s a blessing and freedom all rolled into one that should equip us to never fall into that trap ever again.
When one knows MORE about the Society / Organization AFTER leaving!

i wouldn't dare bore you with the whole 3.5 hours of their dogma.

but i have about a half hour of some of the main points.

of course, i made sure tight pants tony was the main part of it, since he's the one that announced the reductions of the wt & awake and no more year book.. also, i have lett saying that jehovah gave jesus immorality instead of immortality.

I don`t know that I could stand even a half hour of listening to these guys anymore .But I`m sure some here would appreciate the trouble you have gone too in providing it.
I`m just happy enough to read peoples comments about it.

According to WT prophecy it cannot come any day "soon" Why not ?
1. The king of the North & King of the South need to be identified and they need to be "pushing & shoving each other for World dominance" before-hand.
2".Babylon The great the World Empire of False Religion" has to be turned on by the Eighth World Power eg: the United Nations triggering the "Great Tribulation" that is to precede the battle of Armageddon .
3. These are predictions the WT /JW`s have stated will happen according to their understanding of the prophecy`s of Daniel and Ezekiel ,Jesus etc.in there publications all through the 20th Century.
4. These events need time to develop and play out on the world scene and their is nothing in the world political or religious scene today that indicates any of this is happening at the present time.
5.In the 70`s and 80`s Jehovah`s Witnesses declared " Babylon The Great Has Fallen God`s Kingdom Rules"
however in this year of October 2017 nothing is further from the truth .Religion is thriving ,whether it be Christian ,Muslim ,Eastern, or otherwise , it goes in cycles some decline for a while while others prosper and vice versa.
6. The trouble with JW`s is they do not think with their "God " given brain they lazily let others do their thinking for them.

thats somthing i see thats asked in my kingdom hall if you want to go get more than 2 years in collage.thing in some one asking that to me or etc i cant say any thing or that would show that i dont believe.. i hate when some one askes me that when i try to plan ahead when it comes to what job i want.what job would help me hold my own but no god will give if you put him first.i dont believe in god even when i did i never buyed into that.. it seems you cant get away from the question im only 13 and i get that question theres no getting away from it..

i first lurked here around 20 years ago and read huge amounts of threads which certainly helped when i was making my decision to leave the religion.

YOU just need to accept that they are happy being JW`s in their delusional state of mind and get your head around the fact that they never want to know or believe they are in a false /cult religion.
You getting frustrated because of their continued trying to influence /convert you to their way of thinking is not doing your health any good
Maybe you need to step back and minimize your association with your family and take a low key and just see how much they want to keep in touch with you once they know for sure you dont want to be a part of the JW religion.
You are not going to change their thinking however they believe they can change yours.
Once you make it plain to them they cant you will be dropped like a hot potato.
Don`t put yourself through such trauma go and find new friends and acquaintances.
What sort of family will only truly accept you on their terms only.
