  Anyone Watch Dr Phil Show today?

  The more people who see this show the more people will be turned off about JW`s and that`s a good thing.

  Certainly the live audience were well aware of what a cult the JW religion is.They were shown in a bad light not so much by what Dr.Phill said although he did make some excellent points , but by the ex JW and her husband the current JW.

  He would have to be DF after going on Dr Phil and putting the JW`s in such a bad light to not only the people of the USA but also to all of the other nations around the world that receive Dr.Phil episodes.

  I think we owe a debt of gratitude to these two for showing the world what the religion of Jehovah`s Witnesses are really all about.

  Do You Know Any “Gay” Jehovah’s Witnesses?

  of course the religion condemns homosexuality but did you know any gay witnesses?

  i knew some bethelites that were very effeminate and i remember 4 women who were suspected of being lesbians by many in the congregation.

  they eventually moved away and were very vocal against males, especially elders..

  Yes I did suspect when I was in and since leaving have had it confirmed by their own admission that they are gay both male and female.I think most have left or been DF by now. however they were actively gay as Jw`s.

  And this is going back to the 70`s and 80`s .

  Shoud individuals be held responsible for their INACTION?

  if you see someone about to be struck by a car or otherwise step into harms way but choose not to call out a warning or act in some way to prevent disaster, are you responsible for any harm caused?.

  what defence, if any, can be offered for choosing inaction?

  Could/should the WTB&TS be held responsible for the sin of omission ? withholding certain information that you would otherwise reject their belief/interpretation of scripture if they had been forthcoming in divulging the information they withheld from you ?

  A tactict they excuse as Theocratic warfare to mislead people.

  i"m not home when it airs on cbs in the afternoon so i watch a rerun on ch 55 here in nyc at 8pm.

  i have my cable box all set to switch over at the appropriate time..

  I watched it today via this forum and thought over-all it was a great anti-witness .When Dr.Phil said words to this effect that if a religious organization shunned my wife and she wasn`t welcome their then i wouldn`t want to be their either.And the audience clapped in agreement.

  So I don`t think anybody who saw this show would entertain becoming a JW overall they were shown in a bad light.

  Will #metoo have an affect on forcing changing attitudes at Watchtower?

  despite decades of the feminist movement, watchtower's attitude of woman being inferior has changed little, with pauline sexism justified as inspired, on the basis that women are lesser emotionally, intellectually and physically.

  jehovah's witnesses seem to accept this with little resistance.

  is there anything about the #metoo movement that may wake followers up?

  My fading suffered a miscarriage

  i thought of successfully fading out, but suffered a miscarriage last week.

  i gradually decreased the number of meetings i attended.

  in the latter half of the year it became once a month, then once in two months, once in three months ….. last week, two elders who visited me, after their bla..bla..asked: “where will you go leaving the motherly organization—the only truth now available on earth?”.

  Welcome to the forum Ireneus now you have said your piece to the two elders you have no more need to speak to any of them again and certainly do not need to attend a JC

  Do not be intimidated into thinking they have power /authority over you they do not .

  I am getting disfellowshipped

  maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.

  for general information i am now 19 years old, and living by myself.

  for the past 1 year (more like 1.5 years) i have been quietly fading out of the hypocrisy of this organization, but since i still live in the town i grew up in it has been hard, and filled with different challenges.

  You could jump the gun on them and write your own DA letter to the BOE and just slip it under the door of the KH before they have their meeting Whichever way it goes in time you will realize this is the best thing to happen to you..

  You will be totally free of the cult .

  "May I have a copy of the 'Child-safegaurding policy' letter please?"

  so as we all know, the australian royal commission has it on record that a "child safegaurding policy" document was produced hurriedly at the tail end of the australian royal commission.. the commission was told by the society representatives that this would be "freely available to all congregants and interested people".. the commission quizzed the brothers as to whether it would "be freely handed out, or simply handed to those who requested it".

  either way, it was to be freely available.. so imagine the surprise of one our fellow faders who attended a kh yesterday to ask for a copy!.

  she politely and respectfully asked the brother at the door for a copy.

  The Commission was told by the Society representatives that this would be "freely available to all congregants and interested people".

  It would be an interesting exercise if as many as possible Australians went to a KH even posing as a family member of someone who had a JW relative and requested a "Child safeguarding policy"

  Even going to an out of town KH where nobody knew you just to see what sort of response you would get and forwarding that on to the Australian Royal Commission .

  Of course to appear genuine you would have to attend a public talk and wt study I`m seriously considering this.

  What do you think ?
