  What’s your favorite "News" website?

  news in general are supposed to be unbiased.

  but given how commercial and political interests get their tentacles around them, finding a fully unbiased news website is not so easy.. here in america some would rather trust bbc or reuters than they do cnn or fox news.

  any favorites?.

  Life in Paradise

  so we all survive the great tribulation and now as the dead bodies of 99.9% of the world's population begin to stink up the place, the bodies become bloated and the flesh begins to fall off of the bones what happens when the elders tell us to grab a shovel and haul the corpses to a mass grave site for burial or perhaps a mass cremation and you tell them that you will not bury dead bodies.. what will the elders do?

  (i guess they are princes now since we are on the other side of the gt) will they haul the person into the back room of the candlelit kingdumb haul for a judicial meeting?

  if the person is unrepentant and doesn't follow direction from god will they be disfellowshipped or forced to move to a colony for troublemakers?

  Life in Paradise

  Ok , will their be any Electricity ? for the home ? Who is going to keep the supply up and running ? workers ?

  What about sewerage ? who is going to maintain and work this system ? Witnesses ?

  Sewerage needs water to function well ,who is going to keep the water system going not only for sewerage but also for drinking and bathing ? these systems have to be maintained and serviced .

  What about Gas ?who is going to maintain and supply gas to your homes for cooking and heating

  Oh that`s right Jehovah God the magician is going to wave his hand and presto all these things will be taken care of .

  Look at the big major cities of the world today far too many for me to list but just a few Shanghai ,New York,London ,Paris ,Moscow ,Beijing ,and their are scores more around the world ,they are concrete monstrosities ,just how are the survivors going to clear that up in a thousand years and at the same time re-educate resurrected people and also turn this world into a paradise ?

  Oh that`s right Jehovah the magical God .

  But hang on Jesus Christ is in charge not Jehovah and he has done nothing since his enthronement since 1914 !

  Leah Remini to tackle JWs in new special

  the star has a previous first-look production deal with the network to produce unscripted series following the success of her emmy-winning show “leah remini: scientology and the aftermath.” according to the hollywood reporter, remini will produce a special for the network during the break following season 3 of the acclaimed docuseries.. it notes that jehovah’s witnesses, while based on biblical teachings, have come under fire over the years for similar practices to the church remini left years ago.

  for example, practices of ousting or shunning members who have dissenting views, a blanket refusal to participate in politics and government as well as not celebrating christmas or birthdays are all things that the special will reportedly cover.

  additionally, the religion has predicted the literal end of the world several times, obviously to no avail.. .

  In recent episodes of JW broadcasting, the GB appears tired, drained and stressed out.

  Is their any possibility that one or another might crack under the strain and defect ?

  And can`t take it anymore ?

  or is that just wishful thinking on my part ?

  Surely one of them still has a bit of humanity in them ? morality ? Ethics ? Justice ?

  Just the right thing to do ? and come clean that its just another man made religion ?

  jws are taught to think in a childish, simplistic and paranoid way.. the ticket to paradise includes a gory bloodfest of unimaginable proportions.

  and jws calmly and unquestioningly trust and even look forward to this happening.. what about the morality of this unprecedented solution to mankind’s problems?

  (there is evidence in the earth’s crust that noah’s flood never happened so it doesn’t count as a precedent).. sweep all of your problems under the biblical carpet and you know that god will sort it all out by the ultimate act of near total genocide—or not!

  The precedent was set when the God of "love" Jehovah selected only the Israelite`s as his chosen people in the Hebrew bible { O.T.} and instructed / participated with his chosen people to commit genocide on many Nations killing all and sundry in the process men women children and the elderly "don`t feel sorry for them "

  E.G. 1 Sam.15:3

  Their are many more examples in the O.T. of Jehovah God instructing his chosen people out of all nations to commit genocide against non Israelite`s .

  And if you believe the Bible ,what ? their were no babies women men young and old as well as children ? that were drowned in the flood ?

  And what was the point of killing off all of the land animals and bird population ?

  Apparently none of the marine life were extinguished ? in the flood ?

  I am glad all the dirt is getting out even if it is slow in happening. Even if Witnesses refuse to hear it or believe it, the PUBLIC will at least know now - JWs are not better than any other religion.

  144000 The numbers don't add up

  in 1935 there were 63,146 who attended the memorial and 52,465 partook.

  (proclaimers book page 717).

  according to the bible teach book on page 78, it says, “since the days of the apostles, god has been selecting faithful christians in order to complete the number 144,000”.

  In 1993 their were only about 8,000 that claimed to be of the Anointed with the heavenly hope. Which I believe was a stagnant figure lasting some 30 or so years ? that means in about the year 1960 -1993 that figure of 8000 Anointed remained unchanged .?

  So what ? none of the aged Anointed died within those 30 years ? Didn`t the G.B. always say that the numbers would be decreasing as the day drew near ?

  What are the facts now ? Instead of the numbers decreasing they are actually increasing to the point where we currently don`t have just 8000 Anointed we actually have over 18000 claiming to be Anointed with the heavenly hope.

  If greater than 10,000 are wrongly claiming to be of the Anointed then it doesn`t say much for the Bible education they are getting at Kingdom Halls or by the Elders does it.

  The glass prison

  a term i came to learn about after waking up as i'm sure many of us here did.

  i was thinking of how this condition is similar to the proverbial glass prison, how jw are unknowingly confined by the walls of their belief while observing life around them but are truly captives to a concept as ray put it.. .

  What a good point you make Nf, regarding Cognitive dissonance and their glass prison .

  I can truly relate to that.

  However its funny how they are an Old Testament religion that focuses on that GOD and only quote Jesus when it suits them .

  As I like to point out, nowhere in the New Testament are Christians told to be witnesses of Jehovah whereas about 20 times in the NT they are told to be witnesses of Jesus Christ .

  Which they are not .

  When I was a kid ,i`m an ozzie, I played cowboys and indians with my friends and i had toy guns and toy rifles and even bow and arrows from an early age for many years shooting and killing make believe bad guys and indians .

  I outgrew this and never contemplated killing anyone in real life bad guy`s or not.

  I find it hard to comprehend what`s happening in America with all these mass shootings at schools ending the lives of young students so needlessly.

  it talks about not blaming yourself when your child is dfed.

  but wait, when i was in the cult the elders told the parents of dfed children that it was their fault.

  Isn`t that a telling statement ?

  Its not a love for Jehovah God that they want to rejoin Jehovah`s Witnesses .

  Its because they love their family more than Jehovah God and want to associate with them again and this is the only way they can do it.

  Whereas the Jehovah`s Witness position is to use emotional blackmail to get these ones to rejoin the J.W. religion.

  These ones that come back are not stupid they know they have been manipulated and they will never be loyal to the religion of Jehovah`s Witnesses .

  And if the WTB&TS thinks otherwise ? They are the stupid ones .
