i'm writing for some advice from former jws.

my family is christian, and my 15yo daughter is "dating" a jw boy.

(the quotes are because they aren't old enough to actually go out on dates... they consider themselves bf/gf and have hung out and gone places with each other, but always with parents, family, etc.

Their is a new movie coming out called "Apostasy" with Emma Thompson as a family court judge (I think) anyway if your not familiar with how Jehovah`s Witnesses are a high control group over their members and how they break up family`s simply because of religious differences you need to watch it and so does your daughter.

The trailer is out now.

They also forbid Birthday celebrations , Higher education , voting ,saluting the flag, Blood transfusions,(hypocritically they accept Blood fractions donated by other people while they refuse to donate their own blood to be processed into fractions )

I`m sorry if this sounds blunt but if you want to lose your daughter to a cult encourage her to see and get involved with this young JW.

To do so will only lead you to heartache.?

I was a JW for 32 years , nip it in the bud before she gets too involved and even if she does get too involved again do your utmost to end the relationship.

What I would like to know is how in the world are the average Elder with what amounts to the basic education and even less in many cases that they have able to deal with all of these legal forms that they are supposed to familiarize themselves with that keep coming out on a regular basis .?

I don`t know how they are supposed to keep up with all the legal jargon that goes on?

The Twelve Apostles and Disciples had it shit easy compared to what is expected of Elders in today`s religion of Jehovah`s Witnesses

Female JW parking "attendants"

i was shocked recently to see on social media a couple pictures of jw sisters at a convention working as parking "attendants".

i put that title in quotation marks because they still don't get the official attendant badge like the male parking attendants do, only the reflective vest.

has anybody else heard of this .

Sorry but i do wonder what is wrong with the women and even the intelligence of the women in the organization that allow themselves to be demeaned in this way and they quietly just shut up and put up with it ?

at the regional convention, the speaker said that jehovah is our best friend.

so let's see...if i need a ride to the doctor's office can i call on my best friend to give me a ride to the office?

And after the 1000 years has ended Jehovah will let his good buddy Satan out of the Abyss to mislead and corrupt as many as he can which according to Revelation are as numerous as the sands of the sea.

So obviously many more millions are to be slaughtered by the God of Love who gave his son a 1000 years earlier so no one would be destroyed ?

Maybe God has a short memory ? or he has Dementia ? or Alzhiemers? or he just loves killing humans .

How is it according to the Bible God did communicate with individuals during the first 4 Centuries before Jesus Christ came on the scene no hang on he did communicate with some in Jesus day ?

So why does he not directly communicate with those that claim to be his earthly representatives on earth today as the Faithful and Discreet Slave class.? In theses last days ?

Has he lost his voice ? If this is supposed to be the last days before he brings his judgement on mankind isnt this the time he should be at least speaking to those who claim to be representing Him and not remaining silent ?

I just looked at the links you provided Fay Dehr and I could just see Jesus Christ sitting down with his Twelve Disciples and outlining to them all of these man made rules and regulations and legalities etc and saying to them ,

"Make sure you familiarize yourself with all of these requirements before I speak to the great crowd that we expect to attend my next sermons .

We want to make sure we get the maximum contributions from them for the world wide preaching that is going to take place by the Roman Catholic Church before the protestants come along and throw a spanner in the works and confuse even me .

Of course its too early to blow your trumpet in victory as he could and will very likely appeal the decision of the court and it could drag on for years if it eventually went before the High Court of Australia which is a possibility.

Having said that it still is a significant victory that could/should open the way for many other cases to be found in favour of victims of Child sexual abuse where Clergy/Priests/Elders have failed to report such abuse and covered it up in their respective institutions to be charged and convicted as this Archbishop Wilson no less a senior member of the Roman Catholic Church of Australia. was.

I think we would all like to see the Elders of the Jehovah`s Witnesses face the same charges given that their were over 1000 Judicial cases by Elders of Child Sexual abuse that were never reported to Law Enforcement`s /Police or Child Welfare Authorities and was in effect covered up by the religion.

LTPF you have nailed it like a "hole in one" and it all flies in the face of the statement of C.T.Russell`s words to the effect that

,"We will never ask or beg for money if the voluntary contributions dry up then we will know that God has said it is enough and our work is done"
