i would like as many people that can, to respond to this appeal as i am sure their are many examples out their that may help lurkers and fence sitters to make a decision on where they stand regarding the "truth".

They switched to a "contribution" basis for obtaining literature at the Kingdom Hall under the guise of lovingly simplifying the process when actually they did so to avoid loosing their non profit status or having to pay taxes because they were basically selling the literature to the publishers.

And didn`t they act as a "friend of the court" in Jimmy Swaggarts court case about paying taxes for sales of a religious nature voiding their stature as a non for profit religion ?

And this had to do with their change for charging for literature because Swaggart lost his case ?

Wasn`t this a case of getting into bed with false religion ?Supporting Jimmy Swaggarts Ministries in Court ?

Bro. Geoff in September 2018 Broadcast vs Serena Williams

the september broadcast opens up with a story of 80 yr old brother geoff who gave up been in a band all them years ago.

fast forward to 2018 and we have a world renown tennis player and jw as far as we’re told.. so where some are encouraged to leave the world and it’s futile pursuits of fame and fortune, others are not.

or even punished for their behaviour on court or for been photographed with their country’s flag where others have been executed for refusing to salute flags.

And here in Australia we have an AFL professional footballer who identifies as a Jehovah`s Witness although not baptized in his early 20`s who has "star" value as a player who earlier this year supposedly toyed with the idea of quitting football to pursue his religious duties of his faith pioneering full time .

Which of course he never did.

{ I don`t suppose it had anything to do with extracting more money from his club to retain him ? no of course not ! }

Convention statistic

the wife got back from the convention, and mentioned one point from the co talk.. he gave the statistic that on average, there are about 780 people baptized every day in the world!

everyone was amazed.. i broke it to her that there used to be a lot more.

i recall giving a talk and at that time there were around 1200/day.

780 people a day out of 8 Billion+ people ? And 8 Million J.W`s.? who lets say average 10 hrs. a month ,that`s 80 Million hours a month witnessing/preaching.

It doesn`t sound like a good investment to me.

And what they don`t say is what % of those baptized are family members and what % are cold converts from the public.

My bet is the majority of those baptized are family members ,children and teens.

I think this post did get bogged down a bit feeding the troll ,however it did serve its purpose in exposing him and his/her love of the Cult and its hypocricy.

Unsung Movie Villains

we all know the big movie villains get a lot of credit and appear in multiple movies - the shark in jaws, darth vader, and before them dracula, wolfman, frankenstein's monster, etc.. but there must be plenty of villains that get forgotten.. i thought clarence boddicker (played by kurtwood smith) was fantastic in robocop (1987) - a real psychopath.. another character who springs to mind is vilos cohaagen (ronny cox) in total recall (1990), i thought he was very good too.. obviously these and other movie villains do get some critical acclaim but they don't get their own franchise and they rarely get universal praise.. maybe 'unsung movie villains' is the wrong phrase but hopefully you get what i'm trying to say!

it was shocking.. all these years later, i found myself crying for the dead for the first time..

My son rang me up about 11pm that night and said turn on your TV ,I said which channel he said it doesn`t matter just turn on your TV.

I looked and was in shock.

I rang my 2nd son and told him ,he worked at that time for an "Elder" brother and went in a bit late the next morning and was questioned why he was late and all he said was "the Twin Towers" and apparently that was not a valid excuse

Hit Movies that could be made regarding Jws or other cults

one i was thinking of is if a gay jw fell in love with a gay mormon and both got shunned at the same time each in there respective religions 'cough' cults.

both with no more family and no friends.

both with deep conscience issues ripping at the very fabric of their love.

How about a movie about a couple who denied their child a blood transfusion many years ago and now having woken up to TTATT go about suing the religion because Blood fractions were not an option back then which would /could have saved their child`s life.

A similar scenario could be about Vaccinations /organ Transplants that the J.W. religion / G.B. were dead set against in their very own publications which they can`t deny truthfully.
