I linked this to FB as their are a few JW`s on my page and just made the comment that "some religions also use these same tactics to keep their members in trapped in a concept"

What are they trying to hide
by UnshackleTheChains inok. we are all aware of the scandal around the non reporting of child abuse cases to the authorities by the elders and how it was part of watchtower policy.. this has probably been discussed before, which i apologize for now if it has.. the obvious view that most of us make as to why the gb are so reluctant to comply with the authorities by revealing their database around child abuse allegations, is that the leadership at watchtower hq likely were trying to safeguard the reputation of the organisation.. however, (just a theory) are they hiding something more sinister which could in effect devastate the organisation ie could it be they are hiding some things within the gb itself, whether it be some individuals within the gb of the past or even present who might have had some serious allegations made against them which the authorities are never going to know about?
i mean why the hell are they going to such lengths to hide everything???.
any thoughts?

Still Totally ADD20 hours ago
Smiddy3 that statement made by Pat leads me to believe it is true
Then I hope she uses what time is left to take advantages of the options still open and available to her to get justice for the wrongs done to her.

Study Watchtower confirms shunning spiritually weak. How nice!
by Isambard Crater init really hurt to hear brothers and sisters commenting about this at the meeting yesterday.. "as in solomon’s case, one of the greatest threats to spirituality is friendship with those who do not understand or respect jehovah’s standards.
some may be associated with the congregation but may be spiritually weak.
others could be relatives, neighbors, coworkers, or schoolmates who are not worshippers of jehovah.

Some may be associated with the congregation but may be spiritually weak.
In other words avoid them and have little if any association with them because they might destroy/weaken your own faith .
O f course any new converts they may attract to the religion is of course going to be spiritually weak so you can love bomb him/her but at the same time keep your distance from them socially.
No doubt inactive ones and new converts are to be "marked" until they prove themselves to be spiritually strong.

Thank you New World Bible Translation Committee for removing the words, "mentally diseased" from 1 Tim. 6:4
by AndersonsInfo ini want to thank jehovah's witnesses new world bible translation committee for changing the words, "mentally diseased" as found in the 1984 edition of the nwt, to "obsessed with arguments," as found in 1 timothy 6:4 in the 2013 revised nwt.. on february 6, 2012, david splane, the overseer of the watchtower's writing department received an open letter from me which i posted below especially for new posters.
the topic of my letter was in response to the writing department's statement that ..."apostates are mentally diseased" in their july 15, 2011 watchtower.
the 1984 edition of the new world translation reads:.

The loss of 135 Kingdom Halls sold in Germany means a lot of revenue for W.T. H.Q.in the USA .
However what I think is more important, what was the number of peak publishers in Germany in 2011 compared with the number of peak publishers in 2018.
I think that would give a more realistic view of whether the Jehovah`s Witnesses in Germany are on the decline or not.

With the public notoriety of JWs being pedophile protectors/deniers they have made themselves worse than the Catholic Church. At least the Catholic Church no longer denies they have a problem. This increases the size of the embarrassing stain on the proverbial shirt of JWs.
And when you compare the numbers who are Catholics over 1 Billion members with Jehovah`s Witnesses a mere less than 9 Million members the Jehovah`s Witnesses come off as far worse than the Catholic Church with the problem World wide.

Pat Garza : I'm Pat Garza , and I'm here to say that I was raped by Theodore Jaracz when I was a little girl, in the city of Los Angeles , he was the District Overseer at the time. There are two boys; their initials are "M.D." and "M.W.", if they could be found they could confirm my allegations- if I could find them theyre older than me, they were there, there were witnesses! We were terrified and silenced! We were not allowed to talk. My life was threatened and my brothers were threatened, they were going to be killed if I spoke.
That was a serious allegation made about 16 years ago and being brought up now should have some serious questions asked about the allegations ?
Did her parents know about this accusation? And did they do anything about it ?
Was it reported to the police or child protection Authorities ?
Have either of the two she mentioned as witnesses to this sexual abuse have ever come forward to substantiate her claims ?
For a case to go anywhere in a court of law evidence must be presented and /or witnesses must be presented to validate the allegations made, without either ,their is no case to answer .
I`m not disbelieving her claim but in all fairness their has to be more than just an allegation against somebody to prosecute or condemn them.

I`m glad she wasn`t on the front cover of that AWAKE magazine DK757
This is the same kid who received multiple blood transfusions of which Watchtower taught us that they were deadly. I know better now and she is the results of that as well as how far science has taken us.
Beautiful pics and congratulations to you and your wife for taking a stand for your child and ignoring JW/WT `s flawed directions on medical procedures .
If you haven`t already done so please read Kerry Louderback Wood`s thesis on "The Tort Of misrepresentation Of Blood Transfusions " of Jehovah`s Witnesses .
A woman who grew up in the JW religion became a lawyer and wrote this Thesis. Its excellent
Take care.
