  Did you enjoy your visit to Bethel?

  i recently had to take a trip with my family to bethel.

  it was a bit torturous for a secret apostate as you can imagine.

  but mostly just so boring.

  so funny, the guys from "what's up watchtower" join susan gaskin for a round-up of the crazy goings on in the jw/exjw world over the last year.

  at 34.00 mins the discussion about the naked, tripped out "car group"who were busted attempting to save their neighbours from an imminent armageddon had me in stitches.

  While its treated as a light hearted funny episode what can be overlooked is the seriousness of the facts it also speaks about .

  Point of facts : # 1 . I thought was particulary interesting was the role Steven Unthank has played in suing the "Faithful & Discreet Slave class" and ,the JW lawyers admitting no such class of people existed that it was only a Theocratic arrangement .

  #2 . How Steven Unthank shed nu-lite on the WT Organizations lawyers {not Jehovah or Jesus } that apostates were mentally diseased persons.Highlighting a soon to be released NWT that changed the wording in that scripture .

  #3 . Terence O-Brian lawyer for JW`s acknowledging under oath in a court of law that Steven Unthank was not an apostate .

  Even though he has taken them to court suing the "faithful & Discreet Slave Class" , and taken the JW`s to court for refusing to get the required by law to get working with children checks and was successful their .

  Their are other gems in their worth reflecting on also that could benefit people .

  I think the heading of the opening post could have been worded better so more people would likely view it .

  just my 2 cents worth

  { I almost didn`t bother to watch it , however I`m glad I did } simply because of the heading.

  Getting Remarried after a spouses death & then they are resurrected after Armageddon ?

  hi guys .

  i was wondering about the above , if a jw is allowed to remarry if a spouse has died, then what happens when they are resurrected at armageddon, do u land up with two wives/husbands ,,,,,,, makes no sense to me & can the jw's be so dumb not to think about this or have i got it wrong ?

  and i will not be asking my uber jw husband , don't have the energy.. thanks.

  Do Angels have sexual organs ? i don`t think so ,yet they materialized as males to have sex with female humans ?

  Wern`t their any Gay/lesbian Angels in Heaven ? who wanted to have sex with their fellow humans ?

  Why does the bible only depict Angels materializing { apparently to only males } and only wanting to mate with females ?

  Was that a failing of Jehovah God that he/she did not give sexual organs to Angels ? That they were looking down on humans and thinking , shit look what we are missing out on .

  Where do Christians,Muslims and Jews think/believe Heaven is ?

  in this 21st century with so many nations involved in space exploration sending satellite`s out into the far reaching` s of the universe and none have detected anything resembling what could be described as a heaven ,i`m just wondering how these 3 major religions that base their beliefs on sections of the bible would/could answer this question.?.

  not only have these many satellites been deployed to various parts of our solar system but at least a couple have even ventured out of our solar system into deep space .. and none have encountered a heaven of any description.. your thoughts ?.

  What , no takers ? Come on guys heaven has a big role to play in the Bible, Koran, Jewish religion .

  Surely both believers and non believers can add their 2 cents worth to such a basic belief that`s taught in Scripture ?

  I honestly would like to hear both sides of the story in light of this 21st Century`s scientific achievements in Space exploration .

  Will Royal Commission make this mandatory?

  hi everyone, haven't been here or posted for many many years, my health has been poor..

  i checked in briefly the other day and i was very happy to see and hear that something substantial is finally happening about the mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse in the organization here in australia, thanks to the australian royal commission hearings..

  some things that i was just wondering about that someone may already be aware or knows if it will be implemented:.

  According to G.Jackson at the CARC Jehovah`s Witnesses would love that as it takes the "burden" off them to do so .

  As he said under oath it would make things much easier for the Jehovah`s Witness religion ? if it was made mandatory in all states in Australia.

  Knowing what I know now 21 months of mandatory military service would be a piece of cake compared to studying and being accepted as a Baptized Jehovah`s Witness that may end up taking decades to get out of your system.

  That is if you ever could .

  going past a 'new-age' shop today i stupidly said to my most 'uber' wife, do you want a reading?

  " ..not a good idea.. oh dear.. she opened up correcting my every other word and brought in a stream of jw speak and now many hours later is still steaming under an acute cloud of sol.. oh god keep me from being so stupid; cut out my tongue, glue my teeth together.

  I was an idiot for a totally different reason.

  When my young teenage kids brought the "life of Brian" video to watch at home and I jumped and said words to the effect that this borders on blasphemy and turned it off ,also when I made my young son get rid of his "Kiss" records because of their "Appearance" and backward masking songs .

  We all laugh about it now though .thankfully.

  imagine that you are in the middle of the (jws version) great tribulation.

  food and basic supplies are scarce, the secret and not-so-secret police are actively searching for you and your family.

  you have to make it to bro faithful's secret bunker to hunker down with the rest of the congregation.

  Why hide in a bunker ? Shouldn`t they be putting their trust in Jehovah to protect them ?

  Stand firm and go before the courts and await the Holy Spirit to put words in their mouth giving a great witness?

  A classic example of this was at the CARC when an Elder was obviously waiting for the Holy Spirit to put words in his mouth when asked questions and it was embarrassing to watch when no such help was given .I wish I could download stuff

  because the law is an ass ?

  Because Politicians are afraid to tackle religion because it could mean a loss of votes ?

  And many Politicians and Law enforcement officers are religious themselves and do not want to upset the apple cart?

  Religious people in Authority who know of child sex abuse and do not report it should be prosecuted for aiding and abetting a criminal or with being an accessary to a crime.

  Why don't JWs have problems with board games involving dice?

  so i don't really care about these things anymore, but i was reading this article (and it's a very good one): gamified life.. in the article it mentions (without references):.

  dice-based games of chance are thought to have originated with ancient divination practices involving thrown knucklebones.. .

  so it's okay to play yahtzee but not okay to go trick-or-treat.
