  do you know who wrote the 1959 watchtower book jehovah's witnesses in the divine purpose?

  Correct me if I`m wrong but wasn`t it WT policy not to put a name to any of the books published by the WTB&TS ?

  They never published the authors name of any of their publications.

  If Angels in the Bible are of neuter gender ? Then why are they always depicted as males by description and name ? And never a female ?

  in all of the art i`ve seen in christendom, angels always have the form of a male, and in the bible those that are named always have a male name such as michael ,gabriel , etc, .

  nowhere in the art world that i have seen do angels have the female form, and in the bible they don`t have female names.. so if the angels are neither male or female why then are they depicted as males with male names ?and not female also ?.

  the watchtower illustrators also follow this line .when they illustrate an angel it is always in the form of a male and never a female form.. the anointed who make up the 144000 comprise of male and females right ?

  my wife went off to.. and returned without being cranky this is unusual..and gave me a strange look or two.. most unusual.. i can only hope she has heard something that has caused her to realize that i may be onto something..one can only hope..

  maybe zeb you could say i go to work to provide for this family { acknowledge it if your wife does too} and i don`t judge you because of your beliefs and you shouldn`t judge me because of my beliefs or lack of in your view.

  Why can`t we be a happy couple in our marriage respecting each others views without having confrontations .

  Plenty of people in the world have marriages of mixed religious beliefs and don`t have these problems ,why is it that it seems to be such a big problem in the JW religion.?

  Then again maybe your wife needs to start thinking for herself and not being influenced by her female peers.

  i remember when my faith left me.

  i used to enjoy meetings and used to participate but then all of a sudden i was finding myself bored shitless at meetings.

  i was taken off the theocratic ministry school for not attending when i was due to give a talk and not long after did something naughty and got disfellowshiped.

  It was a long gradual process with me ,so many little things that just kept building up until I could no longer ignore it.

  Then just drifted away found sites like this ,honed in on this one and after about 15 years said bugger it i`m going to DF them .,so I sent in my DA letter.

  And here I am.

  Examining The WT Child Abuse Policy

  here is a part of a current discussion i am having with a jw.. comments appreciated.. .

  vanderhoven said.... reporting child sex abuse allegations is mandatory in many places.

  the second witness might be semen or dna evidence...that elders cannot assess but authorities can.

  What is also missing in this discussion is that the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses and their writing department / legal department all speak out of both sides of their mouth,they speak with a forked tongue .

  What they say in print and what they do in practice are two entirely different things.

  Partly because of flip flops / new light / contradictions / Legal Department / Not bringing reproach on the organization /not bringing reproach on Jehovah`s name.

  And when it suits them they claim clergy privilege in a Court of law of their members and when it does`nt their members are just lay / volunteer preachers.

  Governing Body member Geoffrey Jackson under oath at the CARC when asked {yes he took the oath/affirmation} to tell the truth and nothing but the truth ,whether Jehovah`s witnesses were the only ones that had the "Truth" he said that "it would be presumptuous of me to say that " ? what a lie that is .

  Vincent `Toole the legal eagle of JW`s . { he also took the oath/ affirmation to tell the truth and nothing but the truth }when asked about shunning at the CARC he stated that he had heard the phrase but never knew what it meant . another lie.

  OF All of the cases of child sexual abuse cases around the world within the Jehovah`s witness religion, surely it should warrant a much more detailed investigation into this religion and its practices to protect vulnerable children that such a small sect has failed to do.

  "women who were married to abusive priests are for the first time revealing their experiences of sexual assault, control and fear.

  they say the church has known for decades that some clergy abuse their wives but has done very little to fix the ongoing problem.".

  A few women that have made an impact in Christendoms religions in the last 200 years ,none of which are Jehovah`s Witnesses .

  aimee semple mcpherson founder of the four square church.. catherine booth co-founder of the salvation army.. ellen g.white co-founder of the seventh day adventists.

  mary baker eddy founded christian science.. florence crawford founder apostolic faith mission .

  this is just a few of the movements where christian women had a very important role in getting them off the ground and were accepted by males as having gods approval.. and it is not without biblical precedence judges ch.4 & 5 that relates about deborah who was a prophetess and judge over israel for fourty years with jehovah`s approval and blessing of peace he gave her during her reign .. how do these facts fit with women in the jw religion ?

  That`s very interesting Vanderhoven7 that you knew Velma personally who benefited from A.S.M meetings.

  Apparently their have been a couple of movies about her .

  "Sister Aimee" in 2007 she was a Pentecostal preacher I believe.

  The other was a 1930`s film about her .

  They could be interesting to watch If I could find and view them .

  a jehovah’s witness girl may be forced to receive a blood transfusion against her will this weekend when she gives birth in melbourne.. mercy hospital victoria was granted supreme court authority on friday to give the girl blood as a “last resort” if she suffers a postpartum haemorrhage when induced into labour on sunday afternoon.

  the 17-year-old first-time mother is considered to be at increased risk of haemorrhaging because she is of “small stature” and the baby is large, meaning she may have a long labour, an assisted birth or an emergency caesarean.. jehovah’s witnesses forbid followers from receiving blood transfusions or blood products.. the risk to the baby from the mother refusing blood is considered low.. view photos.
