My sister passed away this evening

it was only about two months ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and she was a non smoker .. she was never a jw and she never held it against me that i was for 33 years.. we had a good relationship even though we lived in different states about 2000 miles apart,.. tears are rolling down my cheeks as i type this .

I thank you all for your kind words and condolences for my loss and to tell you the truth its like a weight that has been lifted off my shoulders now that she has passed.

Up until that time grief would come over in waves worrying about her condition ,her pain,her suffering ,and my emotions would flow.

I know that she is no more in pain and suffering and that it all happened in such a short time 2 months was probably a blessing in disguise .

Once again thank you all for your kind words and thoughts.

This topic has been going on for so long that it isn't "news" anymore. Just another kid(s) not getting blood when they need it.

Isn`t that an indictment on us as ex JW`s that we have become complacent about this issue simply because its not news anymore because its been going on for so long ?

And kids who have no voice of their own die because their parents belong to a religious cult ?

Shouldn`t we be their voice in some way ?

I really don`t know what the answer is ,maybe a petition to the UN signed by all ex-JW sites? I dont know

its sad in this day and age that religion is still off limits when they should be accountable for their actions in enforcing doctrines on their members that are harmful and could result in death especially to children.

New Zealand Begins Selling Kingdom Halls

the wainui-o-mata hall is closing and from 01 february they will be relocated to the 200 seater hall in newlands.

johnsonville is merging with the wellington west congregation and will be known at wellington central also to be located in the newlands hall.

wellington east will remain in the hall in kilbirnie at this stage but rumour has it that this hall will also be sold and they will make up the third congregation sharing the newlands hall.

All of these selling and merging of KH`s in one place after another surely is not indicative of an organization that is flourishing , but one that is in decline ,is that a fair assumption ?

Just About To Leave For My Work's Christmas Party

it's funny because i've just noticed that i now only own one suit.

that they haven't thought of rewriting their calendar also.

Actually I think they did do that at one time wrote their own calendar but it seasoned out .

some of the areas the general conference are concerned about are the ordination of women and the general wants to stop more women from being ordained also their are issues with church doctrine homosexuality.

this video is in response to a fight back by a large majority of members 40% wanted womens ordination.

I wonder when women of the JW`s are going to adopt a similar stance after all Deborah was a prophetess and judge who ruled Israel for fourty years with Jehovah`s blessing. Judges 4:4 , 5:31.

How often have these scriptures been discussed at JW meetings .

Maybe the statistics are showing how many are leaving and the general decline in all aspects of witnessing around the world and it would be too embarrassing and faith destroying to publish it anymore .

but simply i would like to see just news and insights from the local congregation to the top organization level of: downsizing, closings, c.s.a.

personal experiences,unscriptural doctrines of the org.and direct commentary of the above.
