That`s very telling blondie. If it was/is a policy , that should be brought to the attention of law enforcement authorities and politicians I believe .
Isnt it unethical ? immoral ? to become aware of crimes committed by an individual and not report it ?

while watching the annual meeting videos on the official jw channel, i was struck with this scriptural expression:.
"they strain out the gnat, while gulping the camel" matt 23:24. this section was full of condemnation for the wicked religious leaders who were focusing on minor silly things rather than deep important topics.. the amount of silly things the gb focuses on is amazing!
they pedantically focus on things like proper pronunciation of words, (such as s lett joking about how isiah is best said), while missing major issues and topics like the proper handling of child abuse issues, or the court cases being lost worldwide!.
Maybe their level of IQ is beginning to show and what level of education they have achieved ?

i've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.
i usually take those things with a grain of salt.
there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.
JW`s get excited over any and every natural disaster /war / uprising / catastrophe/ fires /floods/political upheavals/religious conflicts anything you want to name and they will believe the end is imminent .
Their like robots their programmed that way to respond the way they do.
Its sad.
And the majority will never learn .
140 years that Armageddon is imminent ? And a Paradise which by the way is never mentioned in the Bible is to follow the big A?
a few weeks ago i took the jw channel off of our roku.

I truly think that`s what keeps many of the oldies still in BS , the time in many years and effort invested in the religion and their pride in not admitting they have been conned or fooled all of these years and admitting their mistakes keeps them captives to a religion they cant break free from .
I guess they get to the point that they are so heavily invested emotionally in it that it is all they know, nowhere else to turn or divert their time and attention to.
I agree wholeheartedly ,sad but true.

The only religious experiences I had were the ones I created for myself convincing myself that JW`s had the "truth" and then wasting 33 years of my life ,putting my kids through school hell ,convincing my wife and then finally breaking this insane thinking where we all exited .
"Religion is the opium of the people" and I tend to agree with that statement.
And i don`t care who said it .
Having said that if you can have a religious experience without any GOD involved ,then I do marvel at the diversity of life on earth and elsewhere ? in the Universe in general and what man may discover in the future exploration of Space and other Worlds .
That I can relate to.

the gb individuals are chosen not by holy spirit as we well know but by being selected for one quality only, that of implaccable loyalty to the watchtower organisation.. to be up there requires the fixation that the org is being used by god -- even though now in the small print they claim they are not divinely guided -- what a laugh, what a puzzle?.
the more i watch their antics the more implausible they seem.
their function: to persuade as many people as possible to conform to their own whacky beliefs.. most jws eventually leave the fold, only one third remain as we understand, so will any of the gb become pimo?.
Anythings possible Hb .Its true that most of us here at one stage never dreamed we would be sitting on this side of the fence exposing WT `s deceptive ,manipulative and controlling practices .
Yet here we are , so anything is possible.
Though it is hard for humans to give up prestige ,adulation,power & authority,not to mention the life-style they enjoy,world travel along with other lurks and perks they undoubtedly have.
It would take a man with intestinal fortitude to do so and I`m not sure any of the present GB qualify.
just a thought and perhaps this has been discussed before but no jehovah's witness ever actually dies in the truth.

if a jw died in say 1920 or 2020 or whatever...the doctrines change so much and so fast that what is "truth" today is "untruth" the next within this religion.
The fact that the GB/WT speak out of both sides of their mouth enables the R&F to flip flop between one belief and then an opposing belief with apparently no problem to their sanity ?
That`s why they seemingly have an answer for everything ,they can pick and choose how they answer a question because of the many flip flops.
