  what exjw sites could i refer a seeker of true to look at besides this one?.

  since this is the only exjw web site that i'm a member of, i would like to make mention of other web sites for people to look at in my book.

  i only know of two others.. jw facts and jw survey.

  Research - Jehovah's Witnesses claim to speak for God, and be his only channel of communication with earth.

  i believe that before an active jw will care about all of the incorrect claims and prophecies made by the organization, they first must be shown how the society claims to be speaking directly for god, and revealing truth from god.

  once this can be established, showing them all of the incorrect predictions and changes of doctrine can have an effect (does jehovah make mistakes?

  how can they be speaking for jehovah if they were wrong?

  Welcome to the forum Deut18: 20-22

  ,You only have to look at the "Aid" book where they acknowledge that the name Jehovah is not the correct pronunciation of his name and that Yahweh may be closer to what the Tetragrammaton represents .

  However because the name "Jehovah" is/was the most popular name used in Christendom they chose to be identified by that name .?

  Haven`t they always said that Christendom tried to hide the name of GOD from there members ?

  And not to be overlooked is the origin of the name Jehovah ,a Spanish Catholic Monk of the 13th century named Raymundus Martinus or the like.

  The Vatican`s third ranking highest official Convicted Of Sexual Assault

  australian cardinal george pell, the vatican's third-highest ranking official, was convicted of sexual assault by a victoria court on december 11, 2018.. but australian media aren't reporting on the trial or its outcome.

  despite pell's mammoth status in the catholic church and as a public figure, his trial has been held in secret, following a victorian county court suppression order that applies australia-wide.

  it was imposed after the court accepted that knowledge of the accused's identity in the first trial might prejudice a further trial being held in march.. i believe this suppression order only applies to australia whereas this case may have been reported upon overseas ?

  And now, according to the Herald Sun newspaper George Pell is to be sued by another person who claims he was sexually abused by the priest ,but lawyers dropped the charges because they didn`t think there was enough evidence to convict him .

  I wonder how many more of these complaints and accusations will emerge with little co-oberative evidence to support such claims for a conviction that lawyers need.

  i`m sure you have all noticed the ever increasing number of newbies and lurkers who have visited this site over the past months and i am sure we could all collectively welcome them to this site and support them on learning the ttatt .

  and helping them to navigate how they can look up older publications and quotes of the wtb&ts that they would rather remain hidden.. we all know jehovah`s witnesses /governing body never apologizes for mistakes they make they just don`t mention them anymore and explain it away as new light from god.. actually a big cop out.. welcome to all you who are new to this site .. every day their seems to be someone new posting which is great .. and if this is any indication of what is happening in all other ex jw sites the wtb&ts are in deep trouble .

  Paradise Earth

  just recently i was looking at a topic on jwfacts entitled 'paradise on earth forever.

  ' from the research paul did on this topic he mentioned that there is no biblical evidence of an earthly resurrection.

  i haven't heard this before but wanted to get some thoughts on this topic.

  The funny thing about ancient religious scriptures of whatever persuasion is that its always humans who speak up for GOD .

  No GOD ever backs up his supposed written word with any concrete evidence or even flimsy evidence for that matter.

  GOD always remains silent ,never defends itself ,never explains itself ,.

  Maybe the simple answer is GOD doesn`t exist except in the minds of those who want to believe such a thing.

  Paradise Earth

  Welcome Jeff1 to play the devils advocate here, Jehovah`s Witnesses show that the bible clearly shows Adam and Eve being created in a garden of Eden a Paradise .

  Their have also been some resurrections or implied in both the Hebrew and Christian Greek Scriptures .

  And then there is the book of revelation that speaks about a new heavens and a new Earth which could also imply a new paradise Eden.

  Some Resurrections that happened in scripture dealt with being resurrected back to life on earth.

  Lazarus for one ,another one in Isaiah ? and i`m sure there are one or two more somewhere .?

  However some resurrections in scripture also deal with a heavenly experience and not an earthly one.

  Being" changed in a twinkling of an eye" for example .in the New testament

  maybe Jehovah was hedging his bets "six of one & half a dozen of the other "

  Do you think local Govts. tolerate religions / cults such as JW`s simply because of the money they can generate with conventions etc.?

  i`m thinking about major conventions held by jw`s either nationally or internationally .they must be a big boost to the local economy when they are held .. think about the major international conventions held by jw`s over the years .

  yankee stadium / polo grounds being one of the major ones ,though its not just confined to the jw`s ,billy graham crusades , and of course the pope`s visits to various countries.. and are they culpable or should they be for promoting these events to occur under there watch ?.

  i mean as an extreme illustration or two here would such govts.

  I thank you blondie for the links you have supplied ,if you or I as a rank and file member of the religion and had dealings with any false religion we would be hauled over the coals and been reproved in a judicial Committee meeting.and maybe even disfellowshipped . because of our involvement .

  Apparently there are two sets of standards to be applied here ,one for the WT organization higher ups , G.B.members and such. and another one for the rank and file members of the JW religion.
