BRANCH OVERSEER : "Apostates are GOOD people !"

this is quite incredible.during his talk, the branch overseer, made a special talk dedicated to the apostates.. he clearly emphasis his point, "apostates used to be between us, really you can talk with apostates, those people are good, of course their point of vue is different than ours now but they are mostly very nice poeple, and you shouldn't be afraid to talk with them.

"though as usual, the reaction of the brothers was quite the same, impassive, i was very surprise by this statement.i cannot assume if this is just a one man step ahead towards the apostates, or really a change in their policies, this came from the mouth of a branch overseer.of course, for obvious reason, i won't give the name of the brother, which is famous, but only here in an central european country.i would have expected him to quote more scriptures, but he didn't, he could have use the one for jesus himself :"you should love your enemies", as apostates were really the "enemies" for the wtbs for such a long time, maybe now that the king of the north is awaken, apostates are not so bad after all ?

Their is no sound reason why the OP could not name the speaker or the Country or even place where this talk supposedly happened .

Failing to do that ? it must be BS.

Of course you do and get disfellowshiped and shunned by all your own family and every other Jehovah`s witness for years on end.

And the whole world is now becoming more aware of the sin/crime of child sexual abuse that is and has taken place by JW`s and the cover ups ,sweeping it under the carpet ,blaming the victims ,and not reporting this crime to the police or child protection authorities by the elders is complicit in their crimes.

And the reason these Elders who sit on these judicial committees is "it will bring reproach on Jehovah`s name" if the general public become aware of these crimes committed by Jehovah`s witnesses.

I Ended my Bible Study

i ended my bible study today.

several months ago, i began to feel that the truth was not the truth.

as the months progressed, my feelings intensified.

Maria Nieves ,you did well in answering individual reply`s for the reasons you stopped your study.

You may have been in a vulnerable state when they first contacted you ,however you soon woke up to the fact that they are not the "truth"

It took me 33 years to come to that conclusion .My excuse is we didn`t have the internet then.

If i may just one other observation about being witnesses of Jehovah .

In the New Testament there is not one scripture that tells a follower of Jesus to be a witness of /for /or to Jehovah ,not one.

On the other hand there are about twenty scriptures in the New Testament that explicitly state that followers of Jesus Christ are to bear witness to / for / and about him ,not Jehovah.

And to top it up in the New Testament God himself has said in Philipians 2: 5-12 , especially Vs.9,10 which indicates that in the Christian era Jesus Christ should be worshiped by Christians to be accepted by God whom he has chosen.

It stands to reason when you think about .

God first dealt with Adam

Then the patriarchs

Then the levite priests

Then the Judges

then the Kings

Prophets

and finally Jesus .

And some that overlapped

Different time s different arrangements .

I would like to thank her for the article and hope that she could persuade the ABC to do a follow up program on her story as their are thousands of ex JW`s around the world that would love to see this inspiring story .

And certainly if we do our part in promoting it that would be good for the ABC ratings to go up ?

A win -win for all of us .

these madmen go into soft areas knowing they only will have firepower to inflict their damage.

i think people better start thinking ahead about what they can do to protect themselves..

Another way would be to stop letting extremist Muslims into the country in the first place and if any already in the country display these tendencies deport them and all of their famiy back to their country of origin.

One Muslim country after another are attacking ,harrassing ,persecuting Christians and driving them out of their homeland and very little is being reported about it in the media ,why not ?

There seems to be a trend not to offend our Muslim brothers and sisters so as not to occur more atrocities to be committed by them.

Ask yourself Maria why is the God of the "Old Testament " such a blood thirsty war mongering God who by his own actions was responsible for millions of deaths of man woman and child in most cases simply because they were in the way of Israel`s expansion program.?

( In contrast Satan is only credited to being responsible for about 10 deaths in that period.)

As opposed to the God of the New Testament "who loved the world so much he gave his only begotten son " who preached "turn the other cheek" "forgive your brother not 7 times but 77 times " " do not judge one another "

and so on.

The bible says God doesn`t change ,if your study wants you to resume your study again ask her to answer those questions and don`t let her get away with deflecting the question ,pin her down on it.
