  And how are foreign language congregations supposed to locate and visit people in the target language? It seems impossible.

  That is a good point slim ,not being able to make a record of foreigners with a different language than the country they reside in and speak little or none of that language.

  Hi Bs ,whatever you do don`t get baptised , no i`ll even go further ,break all your ties with JW`s they are nothing more than an American based religious cult.

  That little experience in itself should send up some red flags.

  They are a controlling religious cult, and there "friendship" with you is conditional on your being blindly obedient to whatever the GB/WT says ,even when they contradict themselves you have to agree to what they say,or else .

  Its not a Bible Study your having with them its a Watchtower indoctrination session .

  As a test : Ask them to show you in their own Kingdom Interlinear of the Christian Greek Scriptures a word for word translation of the Greek into English that the WTB&TS published where followers of Jesus are instructed to be witnesses of Jehovah ? There is not one scripture that says that ,however their are over 20 scriptures that say followers of Jesus are to be witnesses of him ,for him ,and about him.

  In fact the name / word Jehovah does not appear in either Hebrew letters or Greek letters representing Gods name ,the Tetragrammaton JHVH or YHWH. in their own publication KI.

  By the way, Welcome to the forum that will explain to you what JW`s don`t want you to know about them .

  i know a lady who says she feels demeaned if a man walks on the outside or opens a door for her or stands aside to let her pass.

  i just think it's good manners.

  being a gentleman has nothing to do with equality in my opinion..

  When i wrote that I was thinking of an experience where a woman using foul language abused a man for doing the polite thing and opening a door for her .

  I do respect women who are women that dont use fowl language when a man tries to do the right thing.

  I have heard of a woman who abused a man for doing just that being a gentleman.This is how political correctness has gone insane if that`s what it is.

  I am old school in that regard and I would do all of those things and more for a woman ,my father always wore a hat and when he greeted a woman he would always dip his lid as a respect to her.

  If a woman challenged me for doing the gentlemanly thing for her ,she would get a mouthful from me as to what sort of person she is.

  Will Lawyers Eventually Usurp Absolute Control Over The JW Religion ?

  i have no trouble thinking this is a distinct possibility happening at some future date .more and more the g.b.members are relying on lawyers to get them out of tight spots that the g.b.

  and the fact that they need lawyers to get them out of.. gradually and by stealth with making little in-roads here and there in gaining some measure of control in modifying doctrines to keep the religion one step ahead of the law ,they eventually manipulate events whereby they can take full control over the religion and oust the remaining g.b.members as apostates or whatever and take full control over the jehovah`s witness empire for themselves .. what do you think ?.

  Great comments everyone ,Publishing ? not so much anymore ,Real Estate and Legals seem to be more of the go nowadays .

  I should also make mention of the scams taking place involving KH `s ,building with volunteer labor ,owned and then sold by WT.....,congregations donating equivalent funds to the organization even after they have paid for there KH ? And their are a few more that I cant think of at the top of my head at the moment

  And branding their religion with the blue logo JW.ORG to get all of the answers to your simple thought provoking questions that the average JW cant answer .

  NWT Being the Most Accurate

  i was going through my old files and came upon an email between some family that i was privy to.

  it is about the nwt bible and alex trebek asking what is the most accurate bible, etc.

  i am copying and pasting this (for nathan natas...) so he will have so fun data to carry with him with that jw bible as he goes door-to-door.

  I have said it before and I will say it again. The kingdom Interlinear of The New Testament printed by the WTB&TS a word for word Translation of the Greek into English does not contain the four Hebrew letters called the Tetragrammaton or any four Greek letters denoting GOD`s name in that publication .

  They have added to the scripture which is taboo by inserting that name Jehovah in the marginal columns .

  They invite the public to come along to there meetings to see these videos which is not always at a convenient time for everyone ,and when we,this site and others like it , offer a service to show anybody who is interested enough to view it ,they have a hissy fit ,shut down the sites and threaten legal action for breach of copyright laws.?

  My mind boggles.
