i was talking to an ex-elder whos father an elder for 30 years who also served as the congregations p/o and as the old congregations servant prior to the 1972 arrangement.. .
he stated that he does not believe in god any longer as his father whilst serving as the cong p/o had been molesting his 2 sisters and his 2 daughters.
this happened over a 25 year period.
Hey! I have a damn fine little guinea pig named Spike. He is a much finer creature that that "elder" child molestor.Molestors are the worst animals alright, but that puts them far below the sweet little guinea pig. Compare them to a snake or a spider. i did.i had worked out the gentile times could not be right, but had not realised what this ment about the governing body etc.i knew there were apostates, but i thought these were just people who hated the religion.i was ready to research and find out the truth about the organisation.then i looked on the internet and found that thousands of people had beaten me to it already..
I guess so. I knew a couple of people who thought some things were not right but they were not questioning whether or not it was the truth. It really wasn't until I found this web site that I realized there were many, many more like me after all.

i was wondering if anyone would have any really great enlightenment from their own experience with gallstone attacks.
however, i had a wicked attack last night .
so, has anyone had this disorder and know any great solutions (short of surgery, which doesn't seem called for yet in my case) for avoiding these (ouch!

It is true that some people still have problems afterward but it has been 15 years since I had mine out and I have had no problems at all. I suffered with that damn thing for 15 years first. I did try some alternative thing that made me pass a bunch of stones. They just came right back and when I tried the same "cure" again it just made me throw up. It involved drinking a lot of salt water and then olive oil and lemon juice. It worked good the first time but after that I could not keep the salt water down.
A few years down the road I went through the same thing with my appendix. It was acting up and giving me pain but I waited until it go horrible and I ended up in the emergency room. Same surgeon. He said I was what he called a "repeat offender".
You know, we keep hoping the crap will just go away but it never does. Faulty parts to start with. I always blamed it on the fact that I was the 10th child and they made me from leftovers.

We should not donate to "Worldly" charities because they are all going to be destroyed anyhow and any good they do is only temporary whereas if we give the money to the borg for the preaching work, then those in need will be helped to gain everlasting life.
Then there is the discussions about how we will "heal" in the New Order". Will bald men suddenly have hair? Will false teeth be replaced instantly in the fashion that Jesus healed or will they come in gradually like with a baby? How about missing limbs? Abra Cadabra and they are replaced or do they have to grow back? Oh, and everyone will be beautiful because we are all supposed to be happy and we can't be happy if we are not pleasant to look at.

I suffered with gall stones for years. When I finally ended up in the emergency room I had a gall bladder packed tight with stones and all infected.. I was a most nasty experience. That was before laproscopic surgery, too. If I had it to do over again, I would tell the doctor to take the damn thing out because it is inevitable anyhow, especially now that it is done laproscopically. Why wait until it is infected and you are really sick? You haven't lived (or died!) until you have one of those damn stones try to pass and get stuck and you have the infection going and then the stone decides to pass whether it fits through the duct or not. Get it taken care of, you have to sooner or later anyhow.

It seems that Suzanne Sommers has not been able to keep the weight off with her own programs and has now combined them with the Zone Diet. A lot of people in Hollywood are doing the Zone.
Right now everyone around here is losing weight from this damn flu/virus/whatever it is bug/diet. So far I just have a touch of it. I don't know if it will get a good hold on me yet or not. My son has lost 10 lbs since he has been sick with the bug/flu/virus/diet.
When we are all recovered, I am doing the fruit/vegetable/low protein/no starch thing I did in the past that seems to work for me and makes me feel good. My husband needs more protein than I do. That seems to be the key. No diet is one size fits all.

i talked to my active jw mother today, and she informed me about an elder that had been disfellowshipped a couple of weeks ago.
now, this had a profound effect on me, because i've known this elder since i was a little girl.
My mother said that he was disfellowshipped for spending too much time on the internet

Our Son was raised a JW and now at 29 years old he and his wife are celebrating their first Christmas today. They chose not to go the Santa route for two reasons. They didn't want to lie to their boys. They had enough of that with the borg. And second, they want their children to know who the presents come from so they can thank them. They said they don't want the kids to just be into getting presents, but to be thank those they get them from and learn about giving as well. We of course honor their wishes. I would imagine that it will apply equally to the Easter Bunny.
