2 peter 2:7,8 says "and he delivered righteous lot, who was greatly distressed by the indulgence of the law-defying people in loose conduct- 8 for that righteous man by what he saw and heard while dwelling among them from day to day was tormenting his righeteous sould by reason of their lawless deeds.".
Lot did not seem a bit upset by his wife turning into a pillar of salt. Also, if they were in such a hurry to leave Sodom and could take nothing with them, where did the wine come from for Lot to get so blasted? And how convenient that both daughters got pregnant the first try. And since people lived so long back then, why would the daughters think they would not meet other men, that their father was their last chance?

sometimes, it's nice to get a reminder that there are people out there who are crazier than my parents.
this was one of those times.. this morning, i was brushing my teeth when the phone rang.
now, when someone phones at 6:45am, it's usually pretty important.
Back in the old days when telemarketers could call freely, I would tell them my husband had just run off with another women, I had not job and all these kids to feed......
They never knew quite what to say. They stopped trying to sell me whatever it was they were selling.

I had the message from some guy's parole officer telling him that if he did not check in that very day, he would be going to jail.
Then there was the woman who would get drunk in some bar and call my number, insisting it was some guy she was hot after. Of course it would be late at night. After this happened several times, I ripped into her and told her that if she ever called my number again, I was coming down to the bar and kicking her ass. Never got a call again. That was back before caller ID and I did not know what bar she was in, but I guess she did not know that.

I was to be born on Christmas so my mother planned to name me Merry. Which she did, even though I came 6 days early.
Then my father said that she had named the other six and he was naming me so he changed it to Mildred.

My Little nephew had just died and I was looking for answers in the Bible and not finding them. The nice lady at the door said she could help.
She sucked me in like a jet engine.
A friend of mine then started studying with her also. She ended up believing she was annointed. She is still in. Medicated like the rest of them.

Get this: The dead dub's obit is in the paper today and it says he died at home Sunday morning. I wonder if it was while his wife was at the meeting. He has not been to a meeting in at least 15 years, yet his obit says he was a "zealous proclaimer" and an active member of the JWs. I have read many obits and they often tell what church they belonged to but I have never seen anyone referred to as having been an active member of their church. Those statements about the dead guy are outright lies. Hell, if he had been so damn active, he would have been at the KH Sunday morning instead of home alone........Everyone who knew him knew he would not even speak to the elders. Liars...

What do you do when someone tries to contact you who you do not want to talk to? You tell them to get lost. Demons are not as plentiful as the WTS would have you believe, and you can tell them to get lost also. The WTS really drilled that fear into us. And that is all it is-fear.

I am sorry about your father's death. Even if we do not have a close relationship with parents, it leaves an unexpected feeling. You are an orphan, no matter how old you are.
This dub who died had not been to meetings in about 15 years, except for the Memorial, because he was pissed at the elders. He remained close friends with an elder from a different city. I expect he will be the one to give the talk.
His wife had been a "good friend" of mine, until I stopped going to meetings. Now she shuns me. Interesting since her husband quit meetings years ago and we never shunned him, and 4 of their 5 children do not attend meetings. One is DF.
Yup, it is all conditional........
That is why I would like to see their faces when they see it was all BS. They have a lot to answer for.
