), but i can tell you all that today has been (and will continue to be for a loooong time) the single most bizarre, surreal event i have witnessed.. i work in an office building at 26 broadway in manhattan, about 10 blocks from the world trade towers.

we have been informed in dayton that gas prices will go up by midnight by 4 dollars a gallon.
i hope this is another false alarm, but i am filling up in either case.
Just had a news broadcast from Palatine, a suburb of Chicago. 6.00 a gallon. Gov. Ryan is requesting call-ins of price-gouging! Yeah, right! After it's all over he'll put a stop to it!

i woke up this morning as you all did to this chaos that has enveloped our country, for those of you outside our country i am sure you were just as shocked.
nothing as devistating has happened during my lifetime.
although for some of you in countrys where terriosm is an everyday occurence i now can see the horror and heartache you must deal with on a daily basis.
I'm sorry, but dungbeetle, WHY are you still attending the meetings of such unloving people? After today, when all my JW niece could say was that she hope the bros. and sisters at Bethel were okay, I cannot bite my tongue any more. Leave that unholy place!!!!!
You SHOULD cry! I have cried. I don't even care anymore if it IS the truth and they are right. I'd rather die a thousand deaths than live in eternity with such people.

in view of todays tragedy, i sincerely hope that all remaining wtc buildings are destroyed, and a memorial placed on the spot.
i think it would be appropriate, and this is something i sincerely hope none of us forget.
no matter what race, religion, or color of the victims, my heart goes out to all families who lost loved ones.
I have not been posting today because I now have 16 hours of tape. One day I will show this to my children and explain to them that this was the day America changed. I don't believe we even can begin to understand the ramifications of what occured today. Our way of life will never be the same. Believe it.

peacepipe, the reason they used flights going from east to west is to have the most jet fuel loaded. More like a real bomb. Jet fuel cannot be put out with water. Whoever did this was very smart and took months to plan.

C. I did notice and they were saying they don't think it is an accident that today was 9-11 (911) also that the airlines were "American" and "United". They are saying they have info that one of the highjackers had ties to a faction of Bin Lauden sympathizers in Fla.

as i was in the dentists chair this morning, i got the news and my heart just sank.
i think of all those poor people and their grieving families, and my heart goes out to them.. well, you know, i have to say this: ....my money is on you.. i think you nailed it this time.... what is the verse about them "growing faint out of fear"???.

My niece just called me from South Carolna. She lives near the Charleston Navel Base. She just got back from Ecuador where she was staying with my mom, a JW missionary. The first thing she said to me was she hoped all the witnesses at Bethel were okay!! After I reminded her there were nukes at the Navel base, and she said---"oh, right." (sounding kind of scared) I hung up on her. I just couldn't take it.

It's just hitting me too. I was in shock all morning. All of a sudden I just burst into tears. The people on the planes knew what was going to happen. I can't even imagine what they went through. It's just sinking in that all these people are gone.
I just saw the wheel from the plane on the sidewalk in NY. Too unbelievable...too much....

Just saw video clips of people in Palestine laughing, cheering. What bothered me most was the little children cheering and jumping up and down. What kind of parents teach their kids this shit????? They looked 7, 8 or 9 years old. How can they teach their kids to cheer when people die?
