A new man in my life

My mom burned my Beatle's records in the back yard. "Come Together" was about screwing/fornication. In the '80's she found a Mazarati album under my bed and broke it into pieces. She said the cover was demonized.
"Touch Me" by the Doors was a huge NO NO. Steppenwolf? Burned them all! "Black Sabbath"???? My fave!!! What do you think??? DEMONS are in the house now.
When I poined out that her precious Tom Jones' album and her idol Dusty Springfield's had more sexual content than all of my Beatles records, she had a tantrum, took a steak knife, and scratched out all the offending songs on her albums. "Cause, ya know, I was stumbled! hehe

she mentioned that many of the witnesses specified that they wanted a white or latino only.
of course there is nothing wrong with this (personal preference), but i found it interesting.

Though JW's aren't as blind to color and race as they'd like to seem, I think they're no worse than any other cross-section of society.
True. I remember when I was about 12 and our KH first integrated. I had no clue at all there were even Black bros and sisters in our small, southern town. We (white people) merged into "their" cong, because it was bigger and prettier. There were quite a few white bros and sisters who refused to sit beside their fellow "black bros." I thought it was ignorant, and I was happy as hell to have new friends. They would sit alone in the back of the hall...looking pretty damned stupid, as I recall.
The elders had to give several "talks" about it.

I'm an equal opportunity dater. I've dated white, black, hispanic, mixed. I married a black man. Now I'm trying to find an Asian man. Skin color does not matter in the least to me.
Edited to add I haven't dated a black woman yet, but anything is possible.
