Thank you, Ranchette! I'll remember that. Did you check out the Mormon warnings on masturbation? I don't know which is worse...Mormons or JWS?

how many of you guys really believed and took to heart every word that was written in it?
i was recently rereading it and it was ridiculous how sophomoric and unrealistic some of the answers to the questions were (e.g.
when you have the urge to engage in the "sin" of masterbation you should pray to god untill the urge goes away.

my sister was homeless for the second time in one month and my husband and i spent all week on the phone, computer and otherwise trying to find help for her or just figure out what to do.
we couldn't support another person.. the original story and thread on this is at * http://www.jehovahswitness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=12492&site=3.
anyway i feel much better now knowing things are looking better.. we drove to st louis sunday moved her out of that families home and put all her stuff in storage.. i did not know this but st louis has around 45,000 bosnian immigrants.. my sister became friends with some of them and one of the guys has offered to let her stay at his place for a couple of weeks.. we met him and saw his apt.
Ranchette, I'm so glad you found her somewhere to stay. And you're right about the truck. I learned that the hard way after getting laid off from Wards. A 320.00 payment (plus insurance)for a Blazer is not feasible when you've been laid off and living on unemployment. It was either..keep my 750.00 apartment, or sleep in the Blazer!
I think she will be able to find her own place much faster now that she has no car payments. Please let us know how she's doing.

i was at work tonight and we were joking around and talking about old shows we used to watch while growing up.
i thought it would be fun if we wrote a line from a show and see if we could guess what show it came from.
my name is lenny, and if i ain't got it, there isn't any.
Lilacs....Joe Peschi (sp) in Lethal Weapon?

This was another interesting thread on this subject.

crownboy and Andi, it's not fair to leave us hanging! I can't get any of them! Then Ballistic just leaves without telling where his quote came from! I don't want to play this damn game anymore!

in my never-ending task of trying to get my niece out of jws clutches, i have good news.
just a brief history.
my lifetime jw mom raised my niece from the age of 9 due to my sister's alcohol and drug abuse.
Simon, thank YOU for having this site. I got so much info from the posters here (thank you, hawk, Kent, Randy, and so many others who put up the info for all of us to read).
Yeru, I have already offered her a place to live and help with the baby. She always has a home here. With my sister being dead, I treat her just like my own daughter.

Yeru, no, I'm in Chicago now. She lives in Georgetown. I've lived in Columbia though. I loved it.
After 20 years as a jw, never did I think that one day I'd be "working" to get someone OUT, instead of IN!!! I was told by a friend that maybe I shouldn't send it all at once, so as not to overwhelm her. But, dammit, I wanted to overwhelm her, so she would have lots to think about and absorb. I hope I did the right thing, and it doesn't backfire on ME!

the new priest .
a new priest at his first mass was so nervous he could hardly speak.
after mass he asked the monsignor how he had done.
Good one, bboy. #12 was definitely the funniest!
