I have the satanic bible and I do have to admit that I was surprised by what is written in it. It was completely different from what I expected.

satanism, witchcraft and devil worship. . . . . .
by DCs Ghost incontrary to popular belief and what society and the media will portray satanism, devil worship and witchcraft are 3 very independent systems of belief, .
sure, to those who are afraid of looking into books dealing with the occult, for fear of being possessed or what have you, i write this as a vent because it makes me laugh when i hear people assume that the three are the same, they aren't, .
and the reality is that even though the three get bunched up as the same, many times it is the ignorance of the practitioners which keeps the ignorance alive.

Tattoo You?
by SixofNine indon't take this as any kind of condemnation; it's just a question.
i'm curious about what the tattooed among us think.
why are you confident that you will be glad you have your tattoo ten or twenty years from now?

I love my tats!!! I wake up in the morning and see the color on my arm and smile. I like being decorated. I guess there is no assurance that i will like them in the future, but I don't see why not. If I like them now the only reason for me to change my mind would be if others were making me feel bad about myself for having them. I doubt that this will ever happen.
I didn't know tats were "cool" seems like a lot of people don't like them and tend to judge those with them differently. But I don't really like people much so I'm safe.
I got my first tat in the 7th grade it was an old school stick and poke. It's now covered. I also still color in coloring books I love them maybe tats and coloring are related???
If you know the artist and trust them your tat can really be piece of art.I've been trying to post my tats but what do I do I have a scanner and thats about as far as the process has gone. I ride the short bus when it comes to computers so any advice would be appreciated.

No door to door stuff but I guess I see I wouldn't be a good representative for the JW but I think I am a good representative of mankind so that is enough for me. I like pink hair, today I promised the girls I'd go green if they won the tennis championships. My job allows colored hair and tats but only cuz once people meet me they all say it fits me. Anywho you all are soo nice and great I should have listened to ya sooner.

thanks everyone I hate people who judge before even getting to know someone. you know what really pissed me off was a new study came in and it was a male, and the elders lips immediately were on this guys ass. they talked to him and laughed and were so nice, funny all they have said to me was " hi" stupid elder type people shepards of the flock, well a real shepard wouldn't care if there were a couple different color sheep in his flock or a sheep with some tats :) oh it just makes me mad, but your right better I found out for myself now then later.

Eyebrow,
I've been studying for about 2.5 mo I guess. But twice a week for 3-4 hours and attending all the meetings. I guess I just am pissed that my seriousness is based upon my appearance. I didn't know if I wanted to get baptised or not just wanted to read the ?'s but now I don't want to have anything to do with it. I do not respect anyone or anything that feels they have the power to reject someone strictly by appearances. I participate and spend my free time learning, and due to some pink hair I am not allowed in. Well my hair may not always be pink but I do not think God cares what color my hair is. Who knows though but if he does then I don't want to be apart of it anyways. Just seems like I wasted some time. could have been re arranging the sock drawer or getting more tattoos. :)

Well the elders do not accept me. I do not fit the mold and nor will I change too. They asked for a book for me to see the questions answered for baptisim but they wouldn't give it to me because they have to decide if I can join??? What the ....... is that about they are not god. How can they even try to be. What kind of place picks and chooses who can worship God, and who says that a few tattoos, piercings, and pink hair means that I am not worthy enought to worship God. Oh I am soooooo mad. and the only reason I know all this is because I overheard the elder say this when my study person asked for the book. then they did not even tell me why they couldn't get it for me. So I guess you were all right. But I still feel shitty. actually more angry. I just can't wait to see what my study person says when I ask why I can't have the book tomorrow. I wonder if she will lie.
So can they do that deny you to join? -

TatooGrrl and Her Tats - A Question
by Stephanus inthe mention by tattoogrrl of her tattoos and the discomfort they seem to produce in the r&f around her prompted these questions:.
*would the tats be considered to be a possible stumbling block to those "weak in the faith"?.
*if she gets baptised, will pressure be put on her to have them removed?.

Steph you are too funny. Yeah maybe there is a hidden price maybe you all know something that I am just to naive to see. But really unless I see it for myself I will never learn. so today I will go to the study meeting blaring all tats and will post the reaction. If it is as you say although no one may make a comment I should be able to notice if they are uncomfortable with this. Infact I think I will speak to an elder about it. Might as well lay it all on the table. I'll keep ya informed.

Pub,
I never read the bible before I met a JW. Family thought religion was for the weak a big joke. I remember my dad lashing out at me cuz he found a bible in my room. My friend who was catholic dropped it out of her school bag. So yeah I thought Jesus was born on the 25 and no I didn't think I was a good christian. In fact who knows It's all almost too weird taking in so much stuff and still feeling no connection to God just a headache from so much info. -

Ok last post before me and my pillow get together. So what is the dress code of JW. I notice a lot of long skirts, and dresses. they let me wear what I want since I am not baptised, but it is kind of funny to show up to a meeting in my tennis skirt (since I go after work). Although I haven't heard any complaints. Anyways just wondered if it mostly dresses since all the women I have seen thus far have worn ugly dresses with big ugly flowers on them. Except fot the lady I study with who is very trendy but I was just wondering. Good night all.
