  Why Not Just Let It Go?

  i am fairly new to this board, but have been lurking for awhile before i decided to become a registered member.

  i have read many posts old and new and can't help but wonder why many of you just don't let it go?

  some of you have expressed bitterness and disgust over what the wts has done to you.

  ikhandi- you have been out four years now and it appears you have made considerable progress, apparantly more than many others including myself. It was well over ten years before I could make peace with myself. Meanwhile 28 years of my life had gone by. I once also felt bad about disgracing Jehovahs good name and would be angered when others would do so.

  Eventually however you may come to the conclusion that: THERE IS NO JEHOVAH. At least not in the way you have been convinced to believe. Jehovah is a creation of man. You take the idea of "GOD", the great benevolent creator of life and reconcille his personality with the one described in the Bible, throw in an incorrect pronunciation of His name and whalla, you have Jehovah.

  Those that make light of Jehovah here do it because they do not belive He exists.

  george bush's administration and the government is at it again, warning americans to buy among other things sheets of plastic and duct tape, select a panic room in the home, and seal every orifice to prevent biological, chemical or radioactive agents from seeping through any cracks.

  nevermind that those successful enough to seal a room completely air-tight will suffocate long before they become deceased from airborne agents of warfare.

  how many of you are concerned the ugly turn of events worldwide portends the great tribulation leading to armageddon?

  I am scared as hell. I got the duct tape but they were out of plastic sheets. So I am just gonna but a garbage bag over my head and duct tape it tight around my neck.

  no need to worry about going to doctors who spend years at medical school, folks!

  just pray that your path will cross with a jw who's kept up to date on their awake!s - they will diagnose complex conditions that doctors were unable to, in nothing flat!.

  Yeah, and look at the guys "mechanic clothes". Dude is in shirt and slacks all nice and tucked in with a belt even. HAHAHAHAHA

  The toolbox is worth more than his house. And look WOW! a four-door car, you know, REAL good for pioneering, though he might have to clean it up a bit so as not to spoil Jehavahs good name.

  it doesn't say no christian must lie.

  it itself is a statement that is a word ploy, deceptive.

  nightmares and anxiety

  does anyone here have nightmares about the witnesses after leaving, i seem to be having alot lately, and i cant stand banging into them they terrify me.

  like if i think i see a person who looks like someone in my cong, and its not just looks like them i have a panic attack.......... im wondering because that is not normal for me...

  I had them as well. For many years even. Every now and then I still have one about being at an assembly, knowing that I am not really supposed to be there, and trying like hell to get out early. Of course that happened in reality too. The more you deal with the fear and guilt you may still harbor and the anger that you may aquire the more these dreams will taper off.

  Do you trust your instincts?

  its strange most of my life i have always gone with my instincts and they have proved most valueble, for instance i seem to sense things that will happen on a daily basis and most of the time my instincts are right.. like today i knew my landlord was going to evict me so he could renovate his house and i was right, today i got call to say he,s given us notice to leave.. also few years back i got robbed, and for some strange reason i knew my so called best friend did it,and days later i found out he had robbed me.. i seem to pick up a vibe from somewhere almost as if someones telling me something thats happening or going to happen.

  its strange it must be some kind of sixth sense.

  why didnt it work though when i was fooled by jws.

  I believe that many times instinct and intuition are nothing more then the 'us' behind the scene letting the 'us' in charge know that it knows something. There are processes in our mind that see and hear things far in advance of our realization of those things. Our eyes can see much more then we can realize, or immediately understand.

  Its like a crew up "in the skybox", to use a sports metaphor, looking over photos and running analysis, instant replays. The "assistant coaches" will see things, like a facial twitch that someone made in a coversation that we paid no attention to, or the tone in someones voice, or a sudden increase in probability of a certain event taking place. If they come up with something then they call down to the "head coach" on the field.

  Whether or not the 'us' behind the scenes is also capable of recieving info from other energy sources is up to debate though I personally believe that it can. And that is because I believe that I have experieced such input on occasion.

  i've read what joe alward wrote.if he's an atheist,i can see why he won't trust the bible.i mean after all,he has done the one major thing most folks why try to tear the bible apart to prove absolutely nothing.

  by taking a verse out of content and not reading the next verse can mean anything for anyone.i mean the watchtower does it all the time.

  example: ezekiel 20:25,"therefore i also gave them up to statutes that were not good,and judgments by which they could not live.

  there are other people who wrote it and read it that have been so floored by the truth they saw, that they personally heard, that lots of other people just know that something's going on there

  A Paudan, that argument could also be used to validate the Book of Mormon as well, no?

  I think RedHorseWoman has it right except for the dinosuars getting on the ark. God decided that the dinosaurs were no longer needed to fertillize the earth with their massave dung heaps, so he let them all die at the flood. There is even pictorial evidence of this in an old JW book, I believe it was the big old orange book, Paradise something or other. Anyway there is a picture of a dinosaur floating in the flood waters while Gods people are chilling in the big wood floating box.

  Witnesses And Their Obsession With Bible Names

  i was just thinking about all my old witness friends and how many of them have weird bible names.

  i mean, who the hell outside of a witness would name their child "ephriam" or "hezekiah" or "elijah"?.

  i guess they don't have to worry about being picked on by the kids at school for their names because most witless kids don't go to school anymore, lol.

  Mormans do it all the time also. And they throw in some Book of Mormon names too for good measure.

  I think I will name my next child "Shaddrach". I could see that on a marquee sign: "TONIGHT ONLY: SHADDRACH!!!! "
