Remember, she has you.
so i am driving with my oldest the other day and she says..... i was reading the watchtower at the meeting and thought.... "the watchtower and awake are just like... what is that stuff that countries put out when they are at war?...
propaganda... yeah, they only give you one side of something and you have to listen to them because they are chosen".
i praised allah right then and there!!!
I wish I had the smarts and the stones that this girl has at 15 years old!

found this little gem of an article in the june 15, 2011 wt.... should youths get baptized?“i am so happy that my daughter is now a servant of jehovah, and i know that she is happy too,” said carlos, a christian father in the philippines.
a father from greece wrote: “my wife and i are delighted that our three children were baptized as jehovah’s witnesses during their adolescence.
they are making spiritual progress and are happy about serving jehovah.”christian parents have reason to be overjoyed when their children get baptized, but sometimes the joy is accompanied by uneasiness.
Should Youths Get Baptized?
No.
yes my 5 year old grandson tweeted me last night" grandpa has a bald head"..i tweeted him back "well you still wet in the bed"..jesus trump, stop the tweeting please......
I tweeted him back "well you still wet in the bed".
LOL!
just thought i'd start a thread about favourite movies.
mine, in no particular order, are .... alien - a great visual film.
the chest-bursting scene is still great to watch, no matter how many times i've seen the movie.
Aliens part 1 and 2
That's it. Still looking for 8 more.
i remember about 5 years ago reading on another site about subliminal images in wt literature.
i honestly thought it a load of bs until i checked out one glaringly obvious image of a creepy skull in clouds within the knowledge book.
i was shocked and even showed my wife at the time who thought it was creepy.. so my question is why?
So my question is why? What is the purpose? And by whome? Is it just some individuals playing around? Does anyone on this forum know of anyone at bethel doing it just for laughs etc?
Thoughts?
Very, very simple. Those images are created so people can say things like:
I honestly thought it a load of bs until I checked out one glaringly obvious image of a creepy skull in clouds within the knowledge book. I was shocked and even showed my wife at the time who thought it was creepy.
I just don't know how/why people keep falling for it.
a hot internet topics: creation or evolution, and many other related discussions, the amount of ridicule the watchtower receives over the internet far out surpasses any passing of possitive internet data to the world's unfettered view.
you need a good internet presents it is vital for the cult to survive, and the internet simply won't allow this cult to prosper, but rather is sending it into ridicule filled bankruptcy, as public gets immune from the wt(virus) fairy tale about them being the only ones to survive god's righteous indignation and repopulate the earth with more drones like members.
they are stopping all construction and are selling kingdom hall, and dissolving congregations nobody is getting baptized because the public is just too informed to believe their bull shit.
The decline is irreversible with no hope for the worlds end for these terminally delusional corporate managers.
I know many people want to hear about their crumbling and decline and ridicule, etc. However, they aren't stupid. They have been in their plan B for quite some time. They are failing as a religion, and their old model of gaining converts and selling literature is obsolete.
However, like any money hungry business, they have changed their model. They have a real estate business, very lucrative, with an almost $0 investment. Financially they are rock solid, and they no longer depend on converting people and publishing printed literature.
For their real purpose, they are just fine.
hey guys.
first of all, i want to thank everyone for being so welcoming and helpful on this forum.... i was thinking about my last 3 years as a jw when i was attending the portuguese congregation and learning that language to bring in more converts.
interestingly, we were told not to attend meetings in our native language in order to immerse ourselves in the new language.
So to those who have attended foreign language meetings or have been part of that field, what have been your experiences? And did you find that they aided or prevented you from being "de-brainwashed"?
None in particular. Aside from the cultural differences in the people who speak a language other than English (the language in which all that JW crap was invented), nothing really.
The tactic and practices are WT guidelines and rules. They are the same all across. I'm not sure that a foreign language changes anything in that respect.
i'll share mine first.... i had never missed a memorial for at least a quarter of a century of my life.
i was kind of raised to believe that missing the memorial was a sin in itself.. by 2013 memorial season, i was missing most of my meetings (even though i was still technically part of my foreign language congregation), and i had just come off the pioneer list.
i still made plans to attend the memorial (god forbid if i missed that lol).. i knew that typically our memorials were around 9 pm, since we usually got last priority (being a foreign language hall and all).
I got a hand job once during the memorial in the 80s. Other than that, nothing interesting.
i finally found the questions from readers i was looking for.. from nov 1, 1999 wt .
it says.... questions from readershow do jehovah’s witnesses view voting?there are clear principles set out in the bible that enable servants of god to take a proper view of this matter.
however, there appears to be no principle against the practice of voting itself.
The WT cannot say "don't vote" because they get in legal trouble. Not a problem for brainwashed people who are more than happy to shun family members or letting them die over blood transfusions.
i would pick this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th2w6oxx0kq.
i don't know how so many are happy or fine if thinking this life is it.
haven't lost parents yet, but when with them, sometimes i'll think of this song.
I know this is a weird choice for a Puerto Rican, but this is it for me:
