How cool! Love it. I'm actually going to use if (with permission, of course) for a course I'm designing.

A Graphic History of the World in Nineteen Minutes
by fulltimestudent ina great animation, showing the spread of humans across the globe (something like a troublesome rash spreading over your body).
then, on to the gradual poltiticisation of humanity.
interesting to watch the animated hi-speed spread of the mongol empire, which scared the sh*t out of europe.. the animation doesn't show religious brands (except islam, which was both a religious brand and a political brand).

Come on, Mainstream Media!
by Wild_Thing init has been sickening to read the most recently leaked documents by faithleaks.
it makes me so angry because so many of us have experienced first hand the horrible policies of the watchtower on abuse.
i feel like these documents are finally the smoking gun we have all been hoping to expose the watchtower, and so far, the only mainstream news that i have seen pick it up is newsweek.. what will it take for the mainstream media pick this up and give it the attention it deserves?

I'm not so sure that compared to the rest of religions, compared to the rest of things happening that are news on politics, sports and natural disasters, and considering that people care more about who wore what dress at some kind of award ceremony than about children being sexually abused, I doubt that it's going to happen soon.
I would love to be proven wrong.

What Is The Major Reason Jehovah’s Witnesses Exist?
by minimus ini understand that cults and religious groups will always exist.
but why do jehovah’s witnesses continue as a religion that people will join?.

What Is The Major Reason Jehovah’s Witnesses Exist?
Power over others. I'm quite positive that pretty much every single person in a position of leadership in that organization is a big fat nobody everywhere else.

Anyone struggle to find meaning in life?
by Good JW injust wondering if this is a common thing for you guys and girls?
when i left the jws it was hard to make a connection with people, much of the time i felt that whatever they wanted to talk about just didn't seem relevant/deep/meaningful.
i find myself filtering my mind to get to a level with others (small talk mostly).

Anyone struggle to find meaning in life?
Sorry if you are depressed, and I hope that you find your answers if that's what matters to you. To answer your question, no, I don't struggle with that. I have more important things to do in my life than wasting it looking for its "meaning".

I'm a fadder, so I can't exactly reveal my identity either.
I'm a little aggressive in my approach, and I'm certainly not interested in educating nor saving anyone, and it's been decades since the last time I gave a fuck about what others think of me, so what I have done when that happens is that I leave the magazines in the exact same place... only shredded to the smallest pieces I can shred them.

Gave a Nice (anti) Witness Today
by Phizzy inthe door was knocked very quietly, (the bell ignored) .
two ladies stood there both clutching bibles, a youngish one, early thirties, and an old dear, in her seventies i would guess.. the young one started "we have been asking your neighbours today if they feel there is anywhere to go for reliable guidance ?".
" but pointing to her silver sword i said " but not there though !".

I just hope some of what I said will stick in their minds, you never know.
Thinking about when I was on the other side of the JW nonsense, and thinking about what a whole lot of people here have shared, I bet some of it does stick.

You might surprised how many JWs are homosexuals
by Roger Kirkpatrick incontrary to common belief, neither the bible nor the watchtower condemns homosexuality; however, they do condemn the practice of fornication.
homosexuality is same sex attraction whether such attraction is acted upon or not.
leviticus 20:13 describes a man having sexual relations with a man, or the act of fornication.

Not really. What's your point anyway?

Why did the Governing Body come behind the curtain?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inin the movie the wizard of oz, while the whole yellow brick road gang was being addressed by the great and powerful wizard of oz, the dog toto ran off to the side, pulled back on a curtain, and showed that a normal-looking humbug of a person was operating cranks and levers.
for a short while, the normal-looking man kept yanking levers and cranking cranks, and said into the microphone (which made the great and powerful wizard speak the same words) "pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!
i am the great and powerful wiz .

Why did the Governing Body come around the curtain and expose themselves?
You mean, show who they really are, right?

Oprah For President!
by minimus ini hope hollywood helps make her the democratic nominee.
she sounds like she’s testing out the waters.
good luck ms. winfrey.

As much as I love Oprah, I'm quite fed up with Americans putting showmanship and celebrity status over real leadership. She will have to be very, very convincing to a person like me for me to vote for her in a primary of any party.
