Child sexual abuse is not a good thing, but why limiting the maps to just one crime?

Sign of apostasy
by Ireneus inelders arranged a sort of informal visit by a more capable elder accompanied by another brother who is more qualified than me from academic background.
their purpose was to reason with me as a last resort to avoid a jc.. during the two-hour discussion, i could make my point clear to them: “i don’t think any one particular religion has the whole truth.
it may be existing as bits and piece in all religions and schools of thought.

‘This is a sign of apostasy,’ they responded.
I hope that doesn't surprise you. For what I can see, maybe what they had in mind in bringing "key people" to meet with you may be more of an intimidation tactic. I'm glad that you were able to talk to them exactly as you feel.

About a type of cult - not religious. Just a movie. However, about had several earmarks of a cult. Mind control, falsely making friendship for gaining sex slaves, willing to kill, even slaves willing to kill, false fronts.
Many, after one finely discovers a cult, one can spot others, of any kind, more easily.
Most people I know loved that movie. I didn't. I'm just sick and tired of that racial shit that's going on in USA. Why on Earth do I want to watch more of that crap and pay for it.
I wouldn't say it has a parallel with a cult at all. Unlike in a cult, the black people in the movie were not brainwash by persuasion; they were surgically altered to serve white people. That's not exactly how things happen in a cult.

Trump and the MEMO
by ducatijoe inthose of us here wasting our time trying to show who trump really is .... it's like trying to reason with all those still in the organization.
they have found a new person to fill their heads with lies and control they way they think.
in many ways this ts amazing to me.. i am out of the wbts and free.

Its stone cold laughable to call someone who supports a policy decision of the president “in a new cult” when the same thing could be easily said of those who disagree with a policy decision simply because it came from trump.
Actually, you are the one using the cult card. As I said in my post, one thing is agreeing with that vulgar pig, a different one is being brainwashed. Typical Trump follower, everything they don't like hearing about is "a card". The "race card" the "woman card", blah blah blah. I am playing the "I am 100% right" card.

Have you ever gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?
by stuckinarut2 injust wondering if anyone has gone back to a meeting out of curiosity?
(perhaps to an area far from your old khall where you know no one).
with all the changes from 2012 onwards (videos, tv screens, new meeting format, new songs etc) it would be an odd experience to be in attendance!.

So has anyone visited a meeting recently?
Thoughts?
No. I meant business when I decided to leave and not go back. My goal since I left was to detach and minimize the influence of that organization in my life. That's why I can't care less what they do, continue doing, stop doing, talk to, changed, none of that matters to me.
I am not part of that organization by choice. Why on Earth would I want to follow what they do?

I am out of the WBTS and free. No one will ever tell me how to think.
And Hothbanero, For you sake if this rule of 1 man in DC continues..... I hope YOU are financially secure.... I am.
If you are not.... your fucked
I agree, but people can express themselves any way they want. Please keep emphasizing that some people are still under the influence of the WT and its mindset, and it's brainwashing. Have you heard of the term "cult shopping"? That is when people who learn TTATT in one cult are not yet ready to let o of the behaviors typical of the brainwashed cult follower, and ends up in another type of group or relationship in which they can continue such behavior.
I think that's the case with some of those Trump hardcore fans (and other people with other believes and customs, of course, but this thread is specifically about those Trump ass lickers). They are not ready to face reality and let go just yet. It's part of their process.
One thing is agreeing with that vulgar pig, another one is what we see in some people's posts here. you can tell the difference.

Another Aspect from which to View Prostitution
by fulltimestudent inif we put on our western cultural (you know, the ones that say jesus made the world) eye-glasses we will 'see' prostitution as something bad.. the 'christian' influenced view is that prostitution is a criminal racket run by gangsters, and the women (and sometimes men) have either been bullied by their pimps, or drugged until they become addicts and forced to work in brothels.**.
some of that is likely true (at times), but is it always 'truth'?.
australia's government owned abc media network, has an article that invites us to take off our western cultural eye-glasses and see the world as it really is.

Personally I never view prostitution of any kind as a one-size-fits-all thing. The "western" view of it has its validity. Some women, men and children are sold into prostitution against their will. Judging them as such as something less than human is not something I agree with, especially since in my observation most people who have something to say about other human beings in such way are never a role model I want to follow (to put it mildly).
Also, I wouldn't say it's a "Christian" view of prostitution. First, Christians are not the only ones who share a demeaning perspective towards prostitutes, and second, as much as they hate to hide it and pretend that such things didn't exist, the truth is that during the time when Jesus of Nazareth lived on Earth, it was common for prostitutes to hang around the temple. Prostitution at that time was not seen the way Christianity does today.
I used the service of a female prostitute once (long story, and not an interesting one), and I'm still yet to see what exactly is the crime there, and what is different from two consenting adults having sex just for fun without money being involved.
At the end of the day, who are we to judge any kind of people? We all do that, but at least I try to be kind and open to be wrong in my judgement.

Interesting point, and great observation. That reinforces their attitude that they are to be trusted and believed in without any questioning.
