You might not notice this, but the same applies to pretty much every organization that uses the Bible. That book can be used and interpreted in any way you want; you can use it to prove pretty much anything you want.

The twisting and manipulations of the scriptures used by the WTBTS
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower society has always been headed by narcissistic control freaks.
scriptures as a front for their human agendas ( have the power so they can control its members ).
they twist and manipulate scriptures to fit it in with their ideas and controlling ways.

I was raised to fear anyone who is not a jw. I hate it! How do you deal with these horrible feelings? There is a co-worker that wants to hangout and I would really like to. How do I push this endoctrination out of my head that it's not fine to be friends with someone who is not a JW? I feel like a big mess bleh.
I'm so sorry you are feeling like that. It's a very undeserving treatment what they gave you.
I don't feel comfortable giving you advice, but I can suggest that if you feel that your JW hangups are precluding you from moving on, especially from socializing, there are healthy ways of dealing with it. There's professional help if you feel the problem is something you cannot solve on your own (counseling, therapy, support groups, reliable self-help information from reputable sources to name a few). There's you just taking baby steps to feel comfortable out "in the world". As opposed to the black and white mentality that the JWs promote, you don't have to be extreme (neither a loyal inseparable absolute best friend, nor totally isolated from everybody).
I didn't have problems making friends, probably because I prepared and faded, I was not pushed out. That gave me the opportunity to start making friends and building support outside as I was preparing to leave. I went to college, did volunteer work, activism, and joined groups and people I like.
It may be different if you still feel that the WT's preachings are true. In my case I couldn't care less, and once I stop believing in the Jehovah crap, I couldn't care less about being friends with the JWs I knew then. That was motivation for me to look for support outside.
There isn't one way of getting a better social life, but a good starting point for me was to get rid of the WT influence as much as possible.

Update jws hate jw book
by Catcat inhi this is my second post this time i won't mention any names or the book cos last time people complained that i was promoting this book.
so any away in my last post i wrote that i was afraid if someone in my family will find out that i was reading this book where an ex jw is negative about the organisation.
but everything is ok. a sister has read the book and told everyone how disgusted and offended she is by it.

So everything is ok as long as you say something negative about it.
Reminds me of this pervert in the congregation that always made comments about sexual things, always very graphic in his remarks, but they were ok because he was talking about how "putrid" this system and their people are, and how much they deserve to be destroyed.

What is the strangest book or craziest book the JWs have ever printed?

What is the strangest book or craziest book the JWs have ever printed?
I wouldn't say a specific book, The WT and Awake magazines had quite a few off-the-wall stories. I remember one story about "Something worse than AIDS", about this JW who was gay and got HIV, but according to them, what was worse was that he got disfellowshipped.
Then soon after I was out I remember some book that claimed that their Jehovah intends to populate other planets once Earth is full in paradise. Don't remember the name of the book.

Anybody here like to dabble on the roulette wheel ?
by smiddy3 ini came to the conclusion a long time ago that many jehovah`s witnesses are very superstitious in my opinion.. if after leaving the jw`s or even sometime before leaving the jw`s you may have been tempted to use the pokie`s /slots or the lotto , or even the roulette wheel at a casino .
now did you know that if you add up all the numbers on a roulette wheel it adds up to 666 .?.
now i have no problem myself playing lotto ,keno ,scratchies ,etc, however ,would i ever play the roulette wheel ever again ?.

Like everything else, have fun, but don't let it get out of control.
I have played at casinos, but it's not my thing. Every now and then I try my luck with the Lotto or the Power Ball, but so far no luck. I have much better odds at getting randomly selected at the airport, though.

Good read. Suggestion, keep an open mind, judges the material in the book by yourself.

God seems to have alot of failures?
by purrpurr infor an all powerful, all knowing god it seems most of his plans go awry, so why assume that armageddon/ new system will work?

God seems to have alot of failures?
I agree. The worst part of the way today religions interpret God is this perfect being that can do nothing wrong, yet somehow everything is according to their own rationale.

When You Die Would You Haunt The Governing Body? If It were Possible?
by Brokeback Watchtower ini've been reading a lot about reincarnation these days and i'm beginning to think that it quite possibly might be true, it seems to fit in nicely with the idea that we live in a computer simulation.. anyway according to the tibetan book of the dead when we die we seem to hang around on the earth waiting for rebirth.
at which time we could be ghosts.

When You Die Would You Haunt The Governing Body? If It were Possible?
Isn't the idea of becoming ex-JWs freeing yourself from them, now, alive, wanting nothing to do with them, you know, getting a life instead of continuing wanting to know everything about them?
