At this point the entire thing looks very ugly. It stinks from every angle. I don't know how/if it will reach him. I'm not fan of him, never have been since I ever heard of him, but I'm not sure if I want him out of power as a strategy.

I don't know what's worse for the country, that guy or the Tea partier that we have for vice-president taking on for him if he's out.

today i saw in the local newspaper in skagit valley washington a local man was sentenced to prison for child pornography.

at firat i wasn't i terested in the article until i saw the defendants name.

Sedro woolley congregations should be ashamed for letting this sum around innocent children.

That is if the WT gave a flying eff about children. They just don't care.

Hoping I can stay

i started studying with witnesses about 21 months ago.

started going to meetings in march 2017, went to the memorial and attended my first convention.

I love studying and learning about Jehovah. I believe in him so much now, but I'm a trans woman, having GRS 12 years ago and starting hormones 20 years ago. The Congregation found out a week ago. Meeting with the Elders soon, but feel that I should leave and I just feel so sad now.

Good luck. As sensitive and understanding as I'd like to be, I can assure you that they are going to give you some bullshit about homosexuality, probably citing some bible verse from I-forgot-where, and telling you that Jehovah will help you stay in your biological gender.

When it comes to sexuality, the Wt's teachings are very archaic. They don't even get basic human sexuality right, leave alone gender identity or sexual orientation. Don't expect a lot of love from them in that regard.

In the city where I live there are plenty of resources from transgender people and their spirituality. I think that aside from this forum, find some support group for trans women. That may give you at least some understanding from people who are also transgender and integrating healthy spirituality in their lives.

BTW, they don't call it "GRS" anymore. The right term is "Gender Confirmation Surgery", not "Gender Reassignment Surgery".

It always baffles me that people come to this forum asking that kind of questions.

Since you asked, anyway, I'll answer anyway. There's not such thing as some Armageddon coming. I know that sometimes having over 1,000 TV channels one still can't find something good to watch, but in this case, I'd suggest to follow whatever pseudo-celebrity is in the news. That seems more relevant than waiting for Armageddon.
