...here's a question which could be asked of the JW offering the invite:...
Or not; it's ok to just say thank you, let them be and dismiss the invitation. Nothing wrong with that.
.........are due out soon, so here's a question which could be asked of the jw offering the invite:.
"can you show me any scriptures which says that spectators were to be invited to a ritual which is exclusively for future king/priests in heaven?
" (allegedly).

even after all of these many years, ray was spot on....there is no one like him anymore .

Well, he was in a position in that organization that not many were. His perspective is quite unique. I agree, but other people stories are as good and powerful (IMHO).
i registered to vote!
the last election had me staring like a deer in the headlights.
i couldn't stand either candidate!
Congratulations! Now don't forget to actually vote. Registering to vote has a lot of meaning, but actually voting made me feel more part of the world, which is one of the best feelings ever for a born-in.
when i was a jw elder and dreamed of living in paradise, i pictured all of the animals, beautiful people, perfect weather, welcoming back the dead and teaching them about god.
the only problem is to get to the point of making the earth a paradise first there will be around 8 billion bodies to bury.
then how are we going to dig through all of the rubble and collapsed buildings using what tools?
I don't think that God will lift a finger to help unless he just waves his magic wand and presto the dead bodies and rubble are vaporized.
I was always questioning that myself. Thanks for sharing.
so i just finished watching the netflix series "seven seconds", about a police cover up of a black teenager killed by a police officer in a hit and run.
it was filmed in jersey city, nj at the end of the last episode as the camera panned the area, they showed the jersey city assembly hall.
i actually helped restore that building and helped in building the addition..
Was the series good?
https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/activities/construction/women-in-construction/.
it's all about women being trained to operate heavy equipment, like it's a miracle.
they quote the male foreman, but don't tell you that only men are allowed to be foreman.
On the flip side of the sexism coin, it's said multiple times that women are safer and more thorough, and are often preferred for the job.
When are people going to put to rest that gender shit. People's gender don't automatically make them any more or less capable.
June watchtower on greeting are they now trying stealthily to change shunning
Maybe.

ties are out.
tats are acceptable.
Will JW change their dictates since acceptable business standards have veered away from dress for success standards of 50s?
No. And even if they do, what would that do anyway?
Who among us has known a jw who has committed suicide. I believe this as a separate subject has not been covered.
Not personally. However, I know of some who have attempted suicide. Also, a friend of mine who is a psychologist has commented that he has seen a few JWs who have been in different stages of the suicide spectrum, from entertaining the idea, to planning, to attempting it.
It is real and a sad reality.
Personally I've never been suicidal. I've been homicidal, though.
hello one and all.. i've been a lurker on here for a few weeks now and i am finally starting to post on some threads.
a lot of the subjects that i wanted to talk about have already been covered so i wont bother restarting a topic that's been done to death.. im a 3rd generation, born-in, jw.
currently faded.
I realized i was a Satanist while a JW. I always felt closer to the character Satan in the bible than any other character. Here is Satan, a character who questions authority, who fights against a tyrannical god who kills at will. That, i think, is a person worthy of imitation. I did not think it healthy or wise to restrict my desires whether they be carnal or anything else. So many JWs are sexually repressed and fighting addictions to pornography, masturbation, fetishes, homosexual desires etc. I found that by indulging in whatever i wanted removed these. I learned that i either didn't like it, or i liked it very much so continued doing it. So i basically lived the life of a satanist while fading from the organization. I would give talks on the platform telling the audience what they'd want to hear, but include subtle hand gestures or words and i even had various tattoos under my cheap suit.
First, welcome to the forum. Interesting story. I myself have thought of Satan the same way, but I personally don't have a lot of space in my life to dwell on it. I also have a hard time believing in Satan as it is too convenient of a character for the Bible and all that Jehovah crap make sense.
Either way, welcome, and thanks for sharing.
