  A question for the Brits...

  i've so enjoyed my conversations with the folks from the uk and australia on here.

  i'm enchanted by their darling expressions, and different banter than we have in the us.

  but i've always noticed one thing.

  Yes whinging does mean the same as whining. We also spell things differently in Britain than the US, for example tomatoe tomatoe, potatoe potato, Programme program. I am sure there are plenty more i am too tired to think of them at the moment.

  guess this kind of goes with the other thread i started about looking at the inner child that is still hurtingk by posting a pic of us when we where kids.. i found this pic of my parents, my mom was just 15,,,,,my dad barely 18, shortly after , they married soon and i was born when my my was just 16. .

  just looking at their faces in this moment in time, in this picture, i can see , that they were just kids too, that they were not ready to face the hardships of starting a family so soon.

  i am not making excuses for the things they both did,,,,,,,,,,, they both did many things to hurt me.

  I would'ent call it morbid, i would say people who wrote were responding to their feelings. For alot of folks sadness and anger is what came through as i was reading the posts. Also there is alot of identification. We relate to each others pain in some way or another.

  my 1st JWD...

  ..anniversary.. i made my first post 1 year ago today.

  i joined up during a busy year at college and consequently my homework hit the fan and i spent time here instead of studying, i was going through a bad time after confronting a few ghosts and i found strength right here on this board.

  by december i thought i should stop posting and get my head back in the study books (i had 8 to read), so said bye in a nice way.

  Why do they bury people that commit suicide?

  if they think suicide is so wrong and then drive people to it by disfellowshipping them or threatening them with disfellowshipping

  In the eastern part of the US we did not refer to ourselves as a jehovah. Never did i hear that anywhere and i am on the east coast of the United States.

  Law and order any cop programs, nypd blue etc. csi, forensic files. An old favorite was the profiler i loved that show. I hate the reality shows.

  Today is my birthday

  just thought i'd let you'll know that today is my 34th birthday.

  i recieved loads of gifts which my kids helped me open (i think they were more excited than i was).

  i've been noticing a few grey hairs showing recently and its becoming more of a struggle to keep my waist size down.

  I left in Dec 2001. I was fed up of them. Constantly torn between my work and having to make those dreary meetings. Then when the dateline program aired i was finished.
