  i read this blog post by a person i have no idea if she is still a jw or not, but it made me think and gain some new perspective on using the divine name.

  please read it if you can, it will change your view!

  and it totally devalidates the jw dogma that they are the only ones using god's name, no, they are actually orphans.

  anyone that is/was a dedicated jehovah's witness knows that the worship of the ''faithful and discreet slave'' is the only relationship we know.i don't remember having a personal relationship with jehovah without the governing body being in the way.they make all the rules on every matter.anyone who thinks that jehovah has any control on your daily matters is a fool.jehovah's witnesses only answer to an organization!.

  Are Magicians Spawns of Satan the Devil?

  i was perusing the internet not long ago and came upon this series of videos by a guy calling himself xendrius.

  it declares that many of today's best magicians are in league with the devil.

  his claims are based on his observation that the tricks would be impossible to do unless the magicians had made unholy pacts with the devil.. so what's the take of the wtbts?

  i need some advice guys.

  how do you get people to mind their own buiseness without coming off as rude?.

  1. Step 1 - When this individual asks a question that you consider to be personal and unnecessary for work make the comment "Wow, that's personal" and say nothing else. Unless this person is deficient in emotional intelligence, that should be the end of the conversation.
  2. Step 2 - If that didn't work and this person again begins to pry, look them directly in the eye and state that " I don't feel comfortable talking about my personal life in a professional setting." This will remind him of where you both are at and will establish that he has crossed a boundary and should retreat from that position.Again, this only works if this individual has the EQ to realize that his inquires are unacceptable in a professional environment.
  3. Step 3 - At this point you need to make a decision: is this person genuinely trying to be friendly and failing at the attempt, or are they attempting to use their position to potentially bully you for information? If you believe it's the former, have a brief conversation with them in a private area where you bluntly, but politely, inform them that you have no desire to extend your social / religious relationship beyond this boundary. Use the "it's nothing against you" line if you have to but ensure that they understand that you aren't going to be anything more than co-worshippers .
  4. Leave this Cult !

  the elders will keep you out longer as payback for you appealing their decision how dare you peon appeal the secret weapons design you stupid publisher.

  The decision to appeal will mean that you have to go through another JC with 6 heavies now - Possibly a long session too. Are you emotionally up to that ?

  As has been mentioned the Over-turn rate is very low !

  The appeal committee is hand-picked by the CO and if the Circuit is composed of idiots and sociopaths [High rate of that too] - you are dead before you begin -

  Also you have read elsewhere on this forum regarding the keeping of personal notes etc - Well many of the idiots I had to sit with on JC's interpreted that as don't make any notes at all in the JC - so in the appeal they are now relying on their memories ! It is human nature to review information in our heads and then enhance and embellish or re-arrange "facts' as we perceive it to be - and in the appeal this is how it is now often articulated -

  Its a flawed arrangement !
