Australia Branch to end magazine printing
by no-zombie injust one week from the zone overseer's visit is the announcement that the magazine production by the australia branch will end in a few months.
the task being transferred to the japan branch.
while i'm not 100% certain, i understand that this effectively ends all major printing bar perhaps tracts, handbills and other loose items.

My 14-year-old niece is being disfellowshipped
by keyser soze ini was contacted by my ex sister-in-law yesterday.
she asked me if i wanted to spend some time with my niece, while she went to her sister's baby shower.
it turns out my niece can't go because she's about to be disfellowshipped at the ripe old age of 14. .

I am not a Shrink but we do have 3 adopted children in our family and one of the spinoffs is the anger and angst that comes with feelings of abandonment by a parent - In the case of one of the boys - his mom is around but he gets very angry and also does crazy things- Including setting things on fire [we may be over that phase ...???? et c etc .
My point being you have got to be dealing with the human being in her totality - Emotional/ Spiritual/ Intellectual / Sexual [especially does a girl need her "dad" going into teen years - I have a grown -up daughter - its vital for her development - Now this girl is being wrenched from that vital next step in her growth !
But its just so easy to press the BIG RED BUTTON of Df'ing isn't it !
Posts like this are not good for me - I get very very angry !

Divisions among ex jw activists

it was regarding their unhappiness over a few prominent individuals in the ex jw community, one individual in particular.
this individual who on the one hand produces excellent videos highlighting wt issues, yet has been known to peeve a lot of ex jw activists off.

A. Yes, if he said so and kept persisting in creating trouble, because if the whole organisation believes one thing, even though it be erroneous and somebody else starts on his own trying to put his ideas across then there is disunity and trouble, there cannot be harmony, there cannot be marching. When a change comes it should come from the proper source, the head of the organisation, the governing body, not from the bottom upwards, because everybody would have ideas, and the organisation would disintegrate and go in a thousand different directions. Our purpose is to have unity.

A. Unity at all costs, because we believe and are sure that Jehovah God is using our organisation, the governing body of our organisation to direct it, even though mistakes are made from time to time.
Q. And unity based upon an enforced acceptance of false prophecy?
A. That is conceded to be true.

The two elders threaten my sister again
by opusdei1972 inas i reported here in this forum, some time ago, my sister was constantly harried by two elders so as to be submitted to a judiciary committee for apostasy.
these two elders were constantly hounding her in the street when she walks to go to her job.
so she had to send them a notary letter in which she wrote that she would attend the judiciary committee only with her attorney.

Three Jehovah's Witness communities are trying to challenge lower court orders that they be liquidated as "extremist" and are awaiting Supreme Court decisions. The cases brought to six the number of their communities banned as "extremist". Court moves to liquidate a seventh were launched in May 2015. Since spring 2015 at least seven further Jehovah's Witness communities have received written "extremism" warnings from prosecutors, a frequent prelude to liquidation suits, Forum 18 News Service has found. A Jehovah's Witness community in Arkhangelsk applied to liquidate itself in October 2015, just weeks before Regional Governor Igor Orlov told the local Russian Orthodox Diocese website of "ongoing work to ensure the de-legalisation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Arkhangelsk Region". All these moves mark an intensification of law enforcement efforts to curtail Jehovah's Witness activity, Forum 18 notes. One Muslim community is known to have been similarly liquidated, with a second being issued a warning.

Banned from the second school!
by purrpurr ini've been told by a jw friend that when her hall recently had a refurb that big changes were made to the second school.. one, a large sign has been placed on the door telling people not to use it and to sit in the main hall itself.. two,that all the chairs which used to face the large windows looking into the main hall are now side on to the window facing the wall instead.. this is because "so many people were sitting out in there!
people were finding all manner of exhuses to sit-in there and the brothers want us to all be together in the main hall!
" she said.. of course i didn't tell her what i really thought of this but seriously?

I was fetched and taken to the "barber-shop" by one such overbearing elder when I was about 19 yrs. He then also proceeded to instruct the barber on how my hair should be cut [I came out looking like a cross between a Nazi and Kim-un-Jerk of North Korea]. I then rebelled totally...........left home [Dad was an abusive alcoholic anyway] and grew my hair + beard ............
This elder screwed with many lives ......

Maybe people are into that type of humour ?
Or when you have 8 million faithful Kool-Aid drinking followers you will get a lot of people willing and ready to obey and view your TV channel. I am sure that if Kim-un-Jerk of North Korea had to have a TV channel ALL Koreans would faithfully view it and it would garner high ratings levels too.
Don't let stats deceive you into anything.

I need your feedback re: anti-shunning campaign
by dubstepped inalright, so i posted earlier this week about my desire to put together some sort of campaign to target the friends and family that shun us before the regional convention part on shunning.
my goal is to produce a postcard that can be mailed out to those that shun us to contrast shunning and love before it is cemented in their minds this summer.
i want to make them think twice.

Memorial attendance
by punkofnice inmy spies seem a bit confused.
here, in this neck of the woods 3 congregations had 3 separate sittings.
the attendance seemed to be swelling.

With multiple sittings you often have some going to other congregations to get the early or later sitting etc so it skews the figures and in my neck of the woods there is a school vacation over this time so many have travelled to other locales.
I don't think we must fixate on memorial attendance numbers at all as being any indicator of anything lest we fall into a similar trap.
