Believers: How do you know your view of your chosen holy book is the correct one?
by punkofnice indon't start fighting, darlings.
i am genuinely curious.
after all i was a jobo 50 years and thought the wbt$ was 100% correct.. i ask this because i see that, for example, christian denominations (or whatever), likely have differing interpretations of the same writing.

Why does one need a holy book in the first place? Why cant we just be genuine , caring good human beings, living and let live!

And not turning over sexual predators and criminals over to the law is very lawful !
Having ones own ideas of what is lawful and not lawful , making it always play in their favour ! If not it is persecution!

I recently read that a long time lawyer for them left the org, took them to court, sued them for I suppose slandering his name which would ofcourse affect his career as a laywer (he left coz he did not agree with them when they asked/changed some rule which he said was wrong morally n unlawful to do) and won. This had happened in the 80's or so .I am sorry do not remember the source but if I find it I will post here.
I read up and visit so any websites that I cant keep up what I read, where.

Unwritten, congregational 'rules'
by Thetruthhurts inwhat were some of yours?
the big one in our hall was no frontal hugs!
these were generally thought of as inappropriate, only side hugs should be given between sisters and brothers.

Do you believe the Bible is the inspired word of God ?
by smiddy3 inif you answer yes to that question ,may i ask which bible are you referring to ?
and why would god have a different number of bible books for different parts of the world.?.
is he partial to different ethnic groups ?.

I came to think that the Bible could not be what I thought it was. The Bible contains errors. And if it contained errors, it was not completely true. This was a problem for me, because I wanted to believe the truth, the divine truth, and I came to see that the Bible was not divine truth without remainder. The Bible was a very human book, devised by humans for their own motives.
There are as many interpretations to the bible verses as there are verses itself. Gods inspired word will always stand up to scrutiny,(if there ever is one) objective reasoning and evidence.
So no its a fairy tale .

Are Watchtower/ Awake considered religious magazines by Christians?
by dydeonwl inthe watchtower and awake have been considered as the most read magazines by christians.
do you think that all christians agree on it?.
source:.

ZindagiNaMilegiDobaara
the most read magazines
Hardly the most read. How can anyone account for every individual who takes/ gets/ shoved / picks/ forced are reading it at all. Boy even the jdumbs dont read it through and through. Then what can we say about others!
The worlds population which is 7.7 billion, out of which only approximately 2.4 billion are christians. That leaves 5.3 billion people .You do the math!

Jesus said ''help and feed the poor,'' not build large headquarters
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini was watching a news report last night on the homeless people in chicago, who were living outdoors in extreme cold and snow.
the homeless were seen living under bridges and street tunnels.. a missionary church called ''the night ministry'' was driving around helping the homeless with water, food , blankets and free rides to a local hospital if they were in need of medical care.
talk about following the words of jesus!.

''help and feed the poor,''
And that is exactly what the rank and file are doing....helping and feeding the money-hungry/greedy society.

Article: What Is The Clergy-Penitent Privilege And How Can It Protect Sex Offenders?
by AndersonsInfo inhttps://www.oxygen.com/the-witnesses/crime-news/how-clergy-penitent-privilege-may-protect-sex-offenders.
how clergy-penitent privilege may protect sex offenders | crime news.
it’s a practice that is centuries old: confessing one’s sins to a trusted clergy member.

If DOG is a hearer of prayers, then why the hell do I need to to go and confess my sins to a mere human who is no way any better/ nor worse than me. I can just pray to DOG and he can forgive me! (by the way there is no such thing as sins, we only break laws, moral laws, laws set by the govt, social laws etc but branding it sins is a cult-language in my opinion; used to control/brain wash). I call it wrongs not sins.
My gripe with the wbts is they do not have a clergy class. only a body of odours so they should not have been given the clergy-penitent confidentiality exemption privilege ! THIS SO NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!
This will become the norm /pattern in all of their lawsuits now and they will get away with murder !
(Just venting)
