the book presents the history, doctrines and claims of jws clearly,accurately.it examines these in the light of the bible, in the light of sound exegesis of the original languages in which the bible was written and with best scholarship o the subject.. although this was written in 1970 , its author was a exjw, so i find it intriguing to see the jw world of that time from someone who witnessed and experienced it all.. hooked from line one itself, remains to be seen if it will deliver to the end but so far so good.
has anyone read it ?

All in all I can say I find it true to their research, study and findings.I am enjoying reading it.

I always take life with a grain of salt. Plus, a slice of lemon. And a shot of tequila.
I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end and I think, 'Well, that's not going to happen.

In my personal experience,hardly any solace buddy!
I was a pioneer, so went round like a zombie talking to myself and crying my eyes out.Then knocking on a feww doors,stopping coz found it difficult to carry on ,then crying again. No Jokovah really did not do anything for me nor my so called spiritual bros n sisters,sadly.
Did pioneering truly make "all problems insignificant?"
No way,it was always there just pushed aside to make room for pioneering /getting your hours in.Once thats over, your grief, sadness,depression, disappointment,hopelessness comes to the forefront coz that was the reality . Not the FOG I was living in!
"The God Of All Comfort" is still a fairy tale phrase to me coz I experienced no such thing !

i simply say to them, "that's ok, it's just a cash sale.

I always give the wrong postcodes. I have this funny thing about memorizing postcodes which seem weird to me (cant give an eg coz it will give my location away). I just give ti as a matter of factly instaed of having to argue a point, Has worked for me so far.

Just wondering how god wanted all , men and women, to read the bible if they choose to; being it religious n word of god (not going to debate if it is or not gods word).
How a few nutters have the gall to prohibit women to read the shepherds book, a book written by nutters?
God, the highest entity, did not keep things secret from women! Yet a few rats ass-men wrote some shitty policies and keep it secret from women. (that has changed for those who are exjw!)
On the same token , during judicial hearings they do not refrain from getting into your private things (you know how intimate I mean), which you ,women in particular, cant keep a secret from them however embarassing or unnecessary they might be!
How appalling! By doing so they are ineffect saying that their word (shepherds book) is much much more precious,valuable than gods word(bible)
