  JW Justifies Societies Pedophiles

  below is a link to a site by who i believe to be along time jw and an article he has written basically justifying the watchtowers stance on the pedophile issue.

  the gist of it i got was that since there is so much more of it in other religions, it isn't all that bad within the jws.

  what a pity they won't open their eyes;.

  yes but look at everyone else that does too and they're much worse.. i'm not even going to mention how badly he defends the un scandal, i'll let you read it yourself.. this guy has your typical "holier-than-thou" attitude.

  he was not the only one who showed himself to be a racist.

  she also went to get a job at a huge prominent corporation in a prosperous country and she did not get the job because she was a certain color.

  accuracy, if an organization's policies protects those who harms children, and your goal is to protect those children, than the motive is irrelavant. If the organization changes policies, than the goal of 'helping the children' is acheived. If the organization is ruined, leaving it's polices null and void, than the goal of 'helping the children' is achieved.

  Now, if your goal is to protect the organization, I can perfectly understand your attempt to cloud issues with personal motives. It would probably be better for everyone involved if the wt/ccjw's would just change their policy. That way, your precious organization is left intact, and the children are safer. Unfortunately, things haven't gone that route so far. So, if the organization won't change it's policies, it's time to move against the organization. Protecting children is the 'moral high ground', as far as I am concerned.

  however i wonder about this man's motives.

  why did he choose to handle his row with the witness organization in this way?

  I did not say that I understand why Bowen went public. My contention is just the opposite--If he knew anything about the sociology of religion, he would have opted for a different route, as I see it.

  Please elaborate on a better course of action that does not involve passivity and will also result in the reduction of JW child molestation NOW. I am all ears.

  Maybe Bowen should have obtained a sociology degree before opening his mouth. He could have learned something about social movements, especially, religious ones.

  Hello Dunns the Scott. I'm glad you understand why Bowen went public. Because you and I know that NOBODY would have heard him if he had protested quietly following "Theocratic order". He would have been ousted and ignored.

  Celia, if I may, allow me to answer these questions with Hilda's current stance:

  What should be done to stop the abuse of JW kids by JW elders, MS and others ?

  Nothing. God will take care of things in his own time.

  What should be done to make the leaders in Brooklyn understand that they have to change their policies that are harming so many innocent children ?

  Nothing. God will take care of things in his own time. The leaders in Brooklyn already understand the problem, and are doing the best they can by following the principals set forth in God's word. We should not blame their policies when a few bad persons are taking advantage of the sheep.

  [Translation: Don't do anything, just let God handle it.]

  [Reality: Jimmy does Sally, Sue, Jamie, Rhonda and Jodie while everyone is letting God handle it.]
