While the WTBT$ descriptions of the Daniel chapter 11 King of the North and King of the South were accurate in the Daniel's Prophecy publication from verse 1 up until and including the Aurelian/Zenobia part, they are not accurate after that point. (The WTBT$ flip-flopped more recently and said the Zenobia part was wrong, but their newer explanation is way off...)

Daniel 11:25,26 fits Aurelian/Zenobia time period and the demise of later Roman armies.

Daniel 11:27 is where we are now in the stream of time. "As regards these two kings, their heart will be inclined to do what is bad, and they will sit at one table speaking lies to each other. But nothing will succeed, because the end is yet for the time appointed." The lying kings are members of the United Nations today.

The rest of Daniel 11, from verse 28 to the end, is basically referring to events during the great tribulation.

When those verses from 28-45 mention being against "the holy covenant" or "removing the constant feature" or "speaking against the God of gods" it is referring to the future time when Christ takes the throne in heaven and the UN affiliated nations on earth attack religious institutions and also make it difficult for sincere worshippers.

(The WTBT$ says some of those verses from Daniel 11:28-45 refer to WWI and WWII, but that's not accurate. They say "since the Kingdom began in 1914, that's why those nations were against the holy covenant" but their reasoning is off. The Kingdom didn't begin in 1914, so those verses that refer to being "against the holy covenant" are referring to a future time.)

At Daniel 11:31 it says: "And they will put in place the disgusting thing that causes desolation." The UN is in existence, but it is not yet causing desolation to religious institutions. It will cause desolation to all religious institutions during the great tribulation.

Daniel 11:36 is talking about what the leader of the UN will do during the 3 1/2 years of the great tribulation: "The king will do as he pleases, and he will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god; and against the God of gods he will speak astonishing things. And he will prove successful until the denunciation comes to a finish; because what is determined must take place."

That the legal system is not perfect is old news. What the judge did was lousy, but the judge doesn't claim to represent God, like the Watchtower Lawyers do claim to. The Watchtower Lawyers are more culpable because they should know better, having claimed to read the Bible so much and to be connected to the so-called "Christ's representatives on earth...the Faithful and Discreet Slave...blah blah blah..." They also know the workings of the organization better than the judge, and they know very well that all the "corporations" are just technicalities and the rank and file are told it's one organization.

The Watchtower Lawyers' cruddy actions just show them up one more time for the hypocritical religious frauds they are, and it shows up the GB/FD$/WTBT$ one more time as hypocritical religious frauds too.

They won't burn in hell because there isn't one, but they will weep and gnash their teeth when they lose their positions of prominence and means of maintenance soon in the figurative "fire" at Jesus' direction upon the WTBT$ organization.

When I reported physical abuse by an elder and domestic assault by a family member, I lost the privilege of attending auxiliary pioneer meeting with the visiting CO.

When I called the police regarding a domestic abuse incident and the state ordered the other party to stay out of the home for one year, I lost my privilege of auxiliary pioneering.

When I continued to both ask for help and to warn others in the circuit about some stuff going on, I lost my privilege to help out in foreign language congregations and had to go back solely to English.

When I refused to stop warning others in the congregation about the elder I had reported (who was still serving) and how the other elders and Bethel were mishandling it to the danger of the congregation members, I lost my privilege of receiving literature (had to print my own) and my privilege of them "supporting my ministry" (I couldn't check out territory anymore - had to just go wherever or write to whoever.)

When I refused to say "Amen" to the prayers of the elders during Zoom meetings, I lost my privilege of attending Zoom meetings. (They revoked my privilege of attending Zoom meetings.)

When I kept asking them to help me meet with said abusive elder either before or after meeting so they could get their evidence to proceed with removing him (because either way he would have answered my questions he would have incriminated himself and he knew it, and so did they), they revoked my privilege of attending in person meetings.

Then they disfellowshipped me for false charges of "reviling and causing divisions", which revoked my privilege of being called "one of Jehovah's Witnesses".

When I still talked to people before and after conventions/assemblies to say hello (since many of them didn't know I was disfellowshipped yet), then they revoked my privilege of attending assemblies.

@nicolaou, Why is that sick and twisted? For some abuse victims, the bad memories don't stop. Haven't you ever just wished you could sleep through all this mess? I know I have. Even Job and Moses and Elijah said one time that they'd be grateful to be dead. (That's not the way to go if you can help it, but it is a valid emotion.)

Right now, they can join a cult if they want. But soon that option won't be available anymore. The time for experimenting with cults will have passed. Cults hurt people. God's not going to allow people to hurt people anymore at a certain point. He's allowed them to try cults and it doesn't work. (He already knew it wouldn't work from the beginning, but He allowed them to try anyway, because they wanted to, but He put a time limit on it.) The precedent's been set. Soon no more cults. Ever. Cult-free life, woo-woo. Happy day. Hallelujah. He'll undo the damage from them and anyone in the future whoever says "hey, let's do the cult thing!" will be reminded - "ah, no, let's not."

We already see the evil from the cult-lifestyle, but many of the JWs do not see it yet. They will see it shortly, whether they want to or not - Jehovah is exposing all of it, from the foundation to the roof. It's going to be completely torn down and exposed. When the WTBT$ hierarchy is dismantled, the rank-and-file will see the false doctrines for what they are, and they won't cling to them anymore. They'll be embarrassed they ever believed in them.

It will happen fast.

When he was a kid, Abel Perez told the elders about his parents abusing him. (The first linked document describes a lot of the abuse.) The elders didn't do anything. When he got older and was finally able to report it as an adult, the Watchtower Lawyers said something to the effect that "we're not liable because the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses wasn't incorporated yet" or some lame excuse to that effect. Rather than admit their mistake and try to shepherd the hurt lamb, they added insult to injury and got "off the hook" because of legal loopholes. The WTBT$ just showed again what we already know - that they are frauds and con artists and they don't have love for people, they have love for money and prominence. Jehovah is the God of Love. The WTBT$ are not Jehovah's witnesses. The WTBT$ hurt the sheep and then try to put the blame on God. When the WTBT$ are destroyed as a religious institution, many will rejoice.

Well, it's not my word, it's God's, and His Word always happens, so it seems to me the "problem" will be more yours than mine - although, if you ask me, what you view as a "problem" is actually a blessing for you and for me. When He allows the governments to destroy the WTBT$ and other fraudulent religious institutions, and when that awful disfellowshipping doctrine is gone, and then when corrupt governments are gone, it's going to be really nice for all of us.

The question is, what will you do then? Maybe we can all have a beer together and some snacks with a bunch of our friends that we haven't seen for awhile. And have music. Sound like a plan?😃

@DesirousofChange, I am not a WTBT$ supporter. WTBT$ has been misrepresenting Jehovah with their false pyramidology based "just around the corner since 1914" mythology. Those teachings were never in the Bible. If you chose to fall for their false teachings, that's not Jehovah's fault and it doesn't negate the fact that He is truthful.

The timeline of the great tribulation being 3 1/2 years is in the Bible multiple times. If you don't want to believe it, whatever, that's your choice.

The God-dishonoring shunning doctrine is another misrepresentation and twisting of the scriptures. Jehovah will hold those WTBT$ guys accountable for misleading so many people. And He will also make clear Who He Is to others like you.
