PetrW: "One of the hardest questions I find is the connection between the book of Daniel and Revelation...etc. etc. These questions are many and many."
The "time, times and half a time" and the "42 months" and "1,290" and "1,260" and are all within the time of the great tribulation, which is 3 1/2 years.
Daniel, Revelation, and the gospels show that "the appointed times of the nations" are the 3 1/2 years during the great tribulation.
The feet of the Daniel chapter 2 dream image is the same as the UN depicted in Revelation, which comes out of the US/UK. The Daniel visions in chapter 7,8, and 11/12 also depict this outgrowth from a slightly different perspective.
It is during the rule of the UN for 3 1/2 years that all religious institutions will be attacked and destroyed.
Some other stuff...
The great crowd that survives Armageddon includes people who today are not necessarily religious, just like a great crowd of non-Israelites went out of Egypt with the Jews after the Egyptian religion was destroyed.
There are no "new scrolls" like the GB teaches. The "scrolls" in that chapter of Revelation are just talking about what people do later during the 1000 year reign.

Per request from PetrW🙂, some Revelation stuff...
The four horsemen didn't start in 1914 or earlier- the timing is once Jesus is enthroned in heaven.
The four angels holding back the winds of destruction are said to be at Euphrates, which was by Babylon. Babylon/religion. The winds of destruction are on the religious institutions.
The plagues in ancient Egypt were on religious fakers, to expose them. The plagues in Elijah's day exposed religious fakers. The plagues in Revelation expose religious fakers.
The plagues are not literal. They are figurative. Other parts of the Bible show that "hail" (like in Isaiah) can mean exposing lies. "Locusts" can mean other nations coming to take your stuff.
When the Watchtower (and other religious institutions) are torn down by governments taking away the real estate/financial holdings/etc, it will be clear Jesus has been enthroned in heaven and is figuratively "riding the white horse".
The congregations of Revelation represent all groups who claim to be Christian. They've all got issues. When Jesus is enthroned, he'll clean things up and get rid of the divisions.
The "angels" of Revelation chapter 1 are actually "angels", not "elders".
Spirit creatures can materialize. In the latter part of Revelation when it talks about the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven and God's tent with mankind, that implies those in the kingdom government and Jesus and Jehovah himself will visibly and individually interact with those on earth, not just from a distance, just like in Eden God walked with Adam every day in the breezy part of the day.
"He will wipe every tear out of their eyes."
God is not partial. The whole universal family will get to hang out.

Revelation is a vision. The use of the words "kill" and "dead" are understood by looking at the context.
For instance, in Revelation 9 it shows that "killed" in context is equated with repentance and turning around from bad conduct: "But the rest of the people who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands; they did not stop worshipping the demons and the idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders nor of their spiritistic practices nor of their sexual immorality nor of their thefts."
The plagues of Revelation are figurative descriptions of the attack on all religious institutions. When people see that the religious leaders are a bunch of fakers, when their refuge of lies is exposed by the "hail" of truth, when the angels stop holding back the winds of destruction and the nations come like locusts and take away all the financial stuff and real estate and holdings etc, then many religious people will repent from putting trust in religious hypocrites. They will be "killed" figuratively as to their former conduct. Some will look to God instead of their hypocritical Pharisaical leaders, since those leaders will be gone.
Jesus also showed this in his illustration regarding the scribes and Pharisees that hasn't taken place yet but will shortly...
"The harvest is a conclusion of a system of things, and the reapers are angels. Therefore, just as the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be in the conclusion of the system of things. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will collect out from his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling and people who practice lawlessness, and they will pitch them into the fiery furnace. There is where their weeping and the gnashing of their teeth will be."
The illustration is figurative, another angle on the time during the great tribulation when religious institutions are destroyed. That the people in the illustration are not literally killed at that point is shown in that they are still able to "weep" and "gnash their teeth". The "fiery furnace" is figurative, representing the destruction of the religious institutions that formerly lent power and prominence and money to those hypocritical religious fakers.

Ecclesiastes 9:10
"All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheʹol, the place to which you are going."
Ecclesiastes 9:4,5
"For as respects whoever is joined to all the living there exists confidence, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion. For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all..."
Psalm 146:3,4
"Do not put your trust in princes
Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation.
His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground;
On that very day his thoughts perish."
When you're dead, you're dead. It's not complicated.

Dear aqwsed12345 - it is very apparent that you love God, you love Christ, and you desire to give a witness.
Here is what Jesus said about giving a witness...
"...for a witness...do not be anxious beforehand about what to say; but whatever is given you in that hour, say this, for you are not the ones speaking, but the holy spirit is..." (Mark 13:9,11)
...and again...
"...It will result in your giving a witness. Therefore, resolve in your hearts not to rehearse beforehand how to make your defense, for I will give you words and wisdom that all your opposers together will not be able to resist or dispute..." (Luke 21:13-15)
aqwsed12345, you obviously love the scriptures. Why not do as Jesus commanded and not cut-and-paste somebody else's words? Prepare your heart by continuing to embrace God's Word and continuing to pray for holy spirit as you surely are anyway and keep trusting the Christ to do what he said he'd do and give you the words when you need them.
"...that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father..."
"Whoever speaks of his own originality is seeking his own glory; but whoever seeks the glory of the one who sent him, this one is true and there is no unrighteousness in him."
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever." He said he'd be with us all the days until the conclusion of the system of things. You can trust him.🙂He's the Faithful Witness.
"...from whom in the way of flesh comes the Christ, he who is over everything, God blessed forever—Amen!" (Romans 9:5)
