  I'm curious as to what the typical atheist response is to the goldilocks universe (where everything is juuuust right) that we find ourself in?

  Everything is juuust right because we evolved within the universe as it is. You seem to look at it as if humans existed somewhere else and a deity created a universe to fit us.
  
  And without the ability to use tools to build shelter, make clothing and farm, only a very narrow section of this small planet is hospitable to us in our natural slate.
  
  Seabreeze thinks like a sentient body of water being amazed that it finds itself in a lake basin that perfectly fits it's shape.

  coincidence?

  The moon has been slowly moving away from the earth since its formation. In the distant future it will be too far away to completely block out the sun.

  i’m sure this has been covered in the past but there are a lot of videos appearing lately bringing this up again.. this chap phoned bethel in london about it and as soon as he said song book the service desk said i’m hanging up now.

  so was there some pimos in the art department or was it more sinister and this organisation wanted to but pedo messages on the song book a bit like the demonic hand in the rev book?.

  What is 'worship'? Why would an immortal spirit creature want or need this? Even if it did, why all the jealousy if a particular human 'worships' a different spirit creature? I don't fly into a rage if my dog leaves my side for the company of a different family member..

  had lunch with a friend, whose a lecturer in the accounting dept.

  of one of australia's best universities.

  he told me he expects to lose his job at some point in the next 5 years, as the accounting dept, will disappear, as all accounting will be done by ai programs, so why teach it.. if his fears are correct, that means that any profession that involves the mind, may one day face the same future.

  The problem is that a significant percentage of the population earns their living in such jobs. Yes, jobs have always been replaced by technology. What's worrisome is the speed at which it may happen. Anyone who has ever worked in a large corporate office environment knows that probably half of the jobs are monotonous "drone" jobs. But the low level stuff still provides health insurance, a lower middle class income and a 401k.
  
  I dont think our current political system is prepared or even willing to prepare to deal with 25% unemployment suddenly happening. It may be a short term anamoly as far as history goes, but that level of instability can be very dangerous.
  
  Maybe they will all go into real estate and play musical chairs flipping houses to one another.

  revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).

  richard dawkins revealed that he celebrates christmas on radio four's today programme.. here is is quoted as saying: .

  'i am perfectly happy on christmas day to say merry christmas to everybody,' dawkins said.

  'i might sing christmas carols - once i was privileged to be invited to kings college, cambridge, for their christmas carols and loved it.
