  Thought on “0 hours” reporting

  so everyone knows the “big news” of this past weekend, no more reporting of hours, placements, return visits, etc.

  beginning november 1, jws just tick a box indicating whether they “shared in any form of the ministry during the month”.. so there was a brief comment by a redditor that seems like a brief joke “throwaway comment” but after thinking about it….why not?.

  the idea is, what is “any form of the ministry”?

  This week I walked by accident in a group of JW's in fieldservice. Nothing changed at all, many elderly sisters but the same look and feel, uber faces.

  my grandmother, an immigrant from austria, was.

  two of my aunts, their husbands, both elders, various cousins and two of my sisters are witnesses.

  so is my grand uncle.

  When my lovely JW grandmother couldn't attend the meeting anymore because of health issues, no JW visit her. At her funeral some years later, one elder did the service, but he did not know her. He told the audience that he did not know here and that the family gave him the right information. She was marginalized, and this makes me sick thinking about it.

  She was baptised in WW2, arround 1944 in Amsterdam. Will never forget her.

  My grandmother died, and I was in her appartment some days later. The neighbour elder rushed in, did not make condeolance but asked for my field service report.

  A moment in time I will never forget.

  reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".

  goeby's wife asked "if love instead of hours is the motivation why do pionieers and co's have to count their time?"..

  i don't know.... and, if people in an organization are instructed and trained years over years that works and counting time is making them good a good christian and acceptable for jehovah and for saving their live, how will they feel now???.

  I’m not sure what this means!

  yesterday i was visited by 2 witnesses, and we had a long chat about lots of things!

  one of them named claire took the lead and i instantly felt some sort of connection to her, after we had spoken and they had left i started to have this overwhelming feeling to research her and what she had spoken about but i couldn’t find her anywhere on any website or social media, so i left it and thought nothing more of it all day….

  however the strange thing is i had a dream that night and claire was in it, many things happened in this dream that i was told i was only allowed to speak about with claire, i can speak of the dream to others but the details only me and claire can know!

  Did Anyone Have Fun With Their Field Service Reports?

  now that there is new light on reporting hours in field service, it's raised a few questions for me, who was never in the jws.

  did any of you ever have fun with the field service report slips, by finding creative ways of reporting time without raising suspicions in those who oversaw the collection of those slips?.

  also, can anyone upload an image of what the slips looked like, or point me to a post that gives uploaded examples of the sort of paperwork that was familiar to jws in good standing?.
