  i knew a lady who was disfellowshipped for 20 years for smoking.

  she finally went back to the kh and since they couldn't find her paperwork, (all the former elders were dead) she was allowed back in without reinstatement.

  no one even remembered her.

  I remember a 70+ year old brother, smoking secretly in his shed, this was found out by his JW wife, he got DF because she told the elders.

  2 months later the DF brother died because of a heart attack.

  What a sad end of life. The snitch sister kept his family name. She got the guts.

  Reading the post above, i'm just realising that all those good studies and books are about a different JW organization. The current jw.org is a social structure, without any deep knowledge. It became a franchise.

  That's what I miss these days, a publication about how the organization rebranded itself into a light version and what the impact is on the life of it's members.

  i notice that the lyrics in one of the songs have been changed from:.

  Did the Fred Franz style of writing cease after he died?

  i was completely out by 1991 and 1989 would have been the last time i had to attend regularly.

  that over the top franz writing style was still there in the 1980's although i've heard he wasn't actually doing much writing by then.

  but his style was definitely picked up and imitated for many years beyond its wacky, outlandish peak of the the 50's - 70's.

The charge later turned out to be unfounded. The elders refused to withdraw the warning. The Active Witness takes Watchtower to court and wins. Awarded 40,000 euros in damages. Watchtower appeals.

  God’s wisdom in allowing bearded JWs July 25 Watchtower

  the july 2025 watchtower has a paragraph that claims that it was the superior power and wisdom of jehovah that guided the gb into allowing jws to grow beards.. the study article is ‘can you still learn from basic bible teachings?’ under the subheading ‘jehovah is the creator’ paragraph 7 states-.
