  i want to say a big thank you to all of you for everything i've learned here, as well as jwfacts, jwsurvey, coc, isocf etc.. i'm a born in and i spent more than two decades of my adult life in full time 'service' for the (b)org.

  gerrit losch giving a talk in so-called spanish in the dominican republic.

  first begging for donations ...and than this.

  brothers and sisters travelling hours and hours to hear this reading, he obviously doesnt speak spanish, just knows how to read it.

  Native Spanish speaker here ... I think his Spanish is quite good, I've heard worst at the KH. The content on the other hand ..... 👎🏽👎🏽😴😴

  Interesting observation: As time goes on......it seems the jehovah witness will be shortened to JW

  maybe it's just me, but i do believe that the jehovah witness brand as we know it will be solely jw or jw .

  org eventually.. the reason being is because if you do a search on google or youtube for jehovah witness.

  so much bad publicity.

  Alone

  since i woke up one year ago , i've been doing a somewhat controlled fade , the experience i've had has been a very solitary one , i don't mean by not seeing anyone i know because i know hundreds in several congregations and i was an elder .

  but just coming to terms with the fact that this was no longer the solution to life's problems, that i'd wasted so much time, that as i sat in the kh and heard everyone comment, my heart was no longer in it , i no longer fitted in ..... i felt that they were in the congregation all under the spell or some form of hypnosis from the wtbts,.

  it was like for the first time in my experience at the kh , that i was the only one to see what was actually going on , the indoctrination, the guilt tripping, i could see it all as clear as day , and yet i had as it where a metal gag over my mouth, i couldn't speak to anyone about it for fear of them turning me into the spiritual police.

  all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.. i think i know what the instructions will be.it's nothing new.

  The paragraph was specifically addressed to the elders, it's interesting to see that the WT knows how much influence the elders have. They know that their "brilliant ideas" can only go so far without the full support of the local elders.

  i asked him what happened.

  he said "him and his wife lived a full theocratic life for jehovah.

  doing everything the organization and the traveling brothers told them to do, like work part time, regular pioneer, serve where the need is great.

  twenty-five of those years as a ms/elder.

  i gave every moment to them.

  We've all been duped and that's the reality, the length and degree to which we gave our all to the 'org' ... the more difficult it is to come to terms with it.

  My "best" friend (active JW) has just died

  johnny santa cruz and i met around 1959 at a movie theater in fort worth, texas.. the purpose of that meeting was to create a fanclub for horror movie director william castle.

  a week or so later, johnny stopped me as i was walking home from elementary school.. "hey--i think i know you.

  weren't you at the william castle fanclub thing?".
