i used to think that the fact that the gb promote themselves (personnaly by name) in the magazines and don't name writers of watchtower articles, was a sign that the governing body was humble and meek.. but why did they take this policy?russel and rutherford were certainly not unkown.when did the transition happen?.

my theory is that this annomimity is use to make the magazines look like they are not aurthored by men.if an article appeared with the writers name , witnesses may choose to reject what is writen as they can see it was writen by a man.but not nameing the writers makes it hard for witnesses to identify the writers as just human like them, and gives the impression the magazines and books have a divine source.. any other ideas?

say you didnt want to be in paradise would that mean you were anointed,because i never liked the idea of living in parklike surrounds,singing birds,waterfalls,etc.

i mean i have grown up in the city and thats were i wanted to stay,so say didnt want to live in paradise what then.i remember someone thinkin that they were anointed because they had this feeling that they werent meant for the earth huh?

some months ago i took my annual vacation to the land of kangaroos--you know--where men are men and sheep are skittish?

as a social commentator i have a vested interest observing cultural changes and trends, etc.

in the professions and trades in oz the genders dress as androgynous as their counterparts in the us.

hello everyone ... just got back from the bible students general convention held in johnstown, pa, just outside of pittsburgh/allegheny, birth place of the watch tower bible and tract society.

i was browsing one of the tables where one could place or pick up programs of various bible student conventions being held throughout the usa and came across the program for the grand rapids bible students convention to be held in october.

they have four speakers, and what a motley crew it is.

I had a nightmare

i was kicking it with one of my ex-girlfriends in the house, and this dark red car pull up to my neighbor's house, and starting shooting, strange tho, my conscience was warning me before it even happen, i say about 5 min.. anyway i told my ex to duck, i duck, then i went outside to see who it was, etc, i came back thinking everything was cool, but my ex got shot in her arm, she fell out, i panic, i started to jump up and down while crying, and i woke up, my heart was pumping fast... scary, maybe it was a warning about something, or it's satan's doing, i hate satan.....
