Problems that exist with the Australian Redress Scheme for Victims of Child Sexual Abuse.As it stands now.
by smiddy3 ini was listening to an overnight abc radio broadcast with rod quin ?in the early hours of the morning 14/3/19.
and with him was a guest of the labour party of newcastle nsw ,sorry her name escapes me.. and some issues were raised that i never knew of, that survivors might have .hopefully i can articulate them here as i understand it.
and remember it ....we all know the trauma that a child will go through with being abused and some will go off the rails because of that and commit some crimes of their own maybe in their teen years .. anybody who has committed a crime and spent time in jail can not take part in the redress scheme.

by Ding injws don't say, "i am a jehovah's witness.".
instead, they say, "i am one of jehovah's witnesses.".
what does the second way of saying it convey that the first does not?.

over the last few months i've been doing a lot more support work with people who are waking up and exiting the "truth" .
i'm part of a team that receives on average 10 new emails, messages or contact through various means, from ones who have just awoken to the realisation that they have been in a cult!.

Funny how they say not to compare yourself with others, I was always compared to other kids who were “more spiritual” than me. One girl in particular. I laughed when she was disfellowshipped. I’m sure she’s still out, wish I knew where she was, I’d like to talk to her.

Does anybody else still have an obsession about Saturday morning weather?
by Exelder ini am still enjoying the luxury of weekends to do whatever i want....but....out of habit i am still obsessed with looking at the weather for saturday mornings.
rain on a saturday morning was a very rare treat and we got the morning off, although as group leader, i still had to go to the group just in case somebody turned up.. does anybody else still watch the weekend forecast with interest?
(i am aware that this is probably a uk thing as we are obsessed with the weather ha ha).

Once, as a young teen, I was sent out in service without my parents. The elder in charge was an asshole in charge of me, and I know he didn’t like me. It was a cold day, and he took the service group out for a coffee break, and left me behind on the street. When they returned from the break, I was frozen, left standing on the street. He sickenely sweet apologized to me in front of the others for “forgetting” me. The others in the group looked really embarrassed, like they knew but couldn’t say it was on purpose, they were so sheepish. He won that one, I went home totally chilled, and got sick. Remember, Hans Schiller, you asshole?
