  just talked to my pimi mom about this special, of course she saw it advertised, but didn’t watch it.

  she told me those programs are “ apostate lies.” i asked her if people magazine is apostate.

  she said no, but the one who wrote the article is.

  How Many Here Remember Hearing Details from the Platform on Why a Person was Reproved or DF'd ???

  i just had this flashback when commenting on another thread about how they used to announce reproof or dfing from the platform.

  at least in our congregation, it was a dramatic event (this is what i can remember from back in the mid-late 60's or early 70's when i was a kid).. at the end of the service meeting, just before singing the final song, the brother would announce, "we have a letter that must be read.

  the "congregation servant" (my grandfather or later my father) would then slowly walk from the back of the kh to the platform.

  Funny about the “sheep-shagging”, I read a funny comment on reddit about this. First, a local needs talk about bestiality. Then someone commented, “Anyone abusing a farm animal will be remooved form the congregation.” Lol

  because he voiced his opinion on roger stone’s recommended sentencing as being grossly unfair, the democrats are talking about impeachment.. do they really think that impeaching him will mean that a democrat will get into the white house??.

  Just talked to my PIMI mom about this special, of course she saw it advertised, but didn’t watch it. She told me those programs are “ apostate lies.” I asked her if People magazine is apostate. She said no, but the one who wrote the article is. I asked her if the Montana Supreme Court is apostate, she said no, but it’s still apostate lies. I asked if the Pennsylvania courts are apostate, she said no, but the information these courts are getting are apostate driven lies. She said there are so many “new ones coming in” and they are not “raised in the truth” and are the likely offenders. They are promptly disfellowshipped, she assured me. I asked her about calling police, she said the “brothers know what they are doing, and are keeping the organization clean.” Sigh

  of course we all were scammed while we were jehovah’s witnesses.

  i’m thinking of ways besides religion.. a popular scam is to get a call from your electric company saying they overbilled you and needed to verify your name, address and social security number.

  then they will send you your money back.

  I get these calls all the time, love especially the IRS scammers from India. Never fell for any of it, though.
